ita, I'm with Trudy on the cancellation thing. It can't hurt to try. Fainting is not necessarily considered important medically, but given your problems with migraines and otherwise good health, it seems worrisome to me. Part of that may be because even though I know it's often not a big deal, it still seems pretty scary to me. You seem to be taking this more in stride, but I agree that you need your own personal cabana boy, at least temporarily.
I've got about 10 different frequent flyer cards, and have never yet received a free flight.
Are they cancelling each other out? I just use Alaska Airlines. If I fly on another airline (which isn't often because exactly one major airline flies into Juneau), I try to get the miles on Alaska through one of their cooperative arrangements. That said, it was years before I ever actually got a ticket through AkAir. I've had a few lately, though, where the reservations were actually easier to get and more convenient than regular fare tickets. Huh.
And, charging for concerts or charity events, even if they are in a private home, doesn't bother me in the least. I understand the difference with a charity event, but am not sure why a party bothers when a concert doesn't, as it sounds likely that the hostess will not personally profit in either case. Interesting.
I have a sleeping husband, a sleeping daughter, and a WIDE AWAKE baby boy. I am so not getting grading done. Oh well.
We'll be picking up the car later. My life, she's a wee bit dull.
In my experience, life with young children can't be all THAT dull. I hope the boy is at least wide awake and happy. If you can't grade, you might as well play!
Well the dull part is the never going out at night. Although last night was way fun, we watched the Wallace and Gromit DVD with Franny and Isaac. Franny was entranced. I think she'll be able to watch the movie. yay!
There are certainly pros and cons. Yeah on Wallace and Gromit, though!
OY! am a worried mother hen.
today was Halloween carnival in the park with friends and their 4 year old. was fun.
then boots were purchased anda few errands run, then came home to find a box with a slipcover for my big comfy chair. YAY! Perhaps by the end of the year my furniture will match.
Two pairs cuffed trousers (lined even!) and a purple sweater thing were purchased. I saw a couple pair of shoes in Naturalizer that I really liked, but I had run out of patience at that point.
Home, went ruthlessly through closet. 1 large old navy bag, 3 target bags full. I didn't even touch the shoes yet.
So that's good. I hang on to a lot of junk clothes for wearing at home. And the thing is, I do wear them. So they stay, but are better organized.
Next up, manicure. After steak, though.
Exciting, no?
good job sara. I need to do some cleaning, but I am wiped and just started a movie instead.
Last time I fainted (so not a one time thing) I went straight to my GP, who sent me to an ENT, who made me get an MRI, and they weren't very worried. GP was basically "Well, it happens to some people."
He did suggest I see a neurologist anyway, which is why I am.
As for the medication -- if it is because of it, it's a periodic (fuck I hate the way my brain loses words after a faint) flushing or something. I take Imitrex all the time, sadly. The amount of Imitrex/whatevers I've taken this past week -- I've taken that much without incident many times before. What does stand out, however, is the recalcitrant intensity of the headache that preceded it. The last time I fainted was after a real doozy.
I wasn't lying down for the last little bit, because I was running errands. On the upside, I'm more pampered than I was before, because I have plantain, curried goat, Ting, British apple pies and comics. On the downside I'm freaking exhausted and will be napping intermittently until the H'ween party.
