Okay, so, now that the new iPod has been announced, can I no longer buy the old model? 'Cause I want the 60GB, but I don't want to pay MORE for it than I would have if I'd bought the old model just last week, and I don't care about having video on it.
Nope. They've removed the non-video one from the store. Although, wasn't the 60GB non-video $399? Because that's what the video 60GB costs.
About to come home.
I keep pulling out more and more throws.
at the moment there are 2 in the computer room and 4 in the living room . there are also extra balankets in the guest room. I suspet that it will be possible for matt and I to have 6 throws apiece by the end of the winter...
Well, that's annoying. I was waiting to buy mine until after the new release, because I figured the price would drop a little. (I think the old 60GB was $379, but I could be wrong.) Actually, my coworker (who is generally In The Know about Apple products) came by my desk today to tell me that the price on the old models had dropped to $300, so I got all excited, but now I can't find them anywhere on the site. bleh.
Kate, try calling the local Apple store and seeing if they're selling the discontinued ones. It might even be cheaper.
Refurbished old model iPods
It's cold and wet here. I'm wrapped in my bathrobe and wearing slippers and I'm still chilly. I should get a blanket.
I am guessing this could kill the houseing market

Thanks! I knew I could count on you all. Although, the idea of buying a previously-owned piece of very expensive and maybe kind of delicate hardware makes me a little nervous. People here have had good luck with refurbished Apple products, right? Will explore options tomorrow.
Hey, congrats Allyson!
By the way, what is your book? A novel? Memoir? I seem to have missed a post or 2.
Pastafarians, rejoice!
