It's cold and wet here. I'm wrapped in my bathrobe and wearing slippers and I'm still chilly. I should get a blanket.

Thanks! I knew I could count on you all. Although, the idea of buying a previously-owned piece of very expensive and maybe kind of delicate hardware makes me a little nervous. People here have had good luck with refurbished Apple products, right? Will explore options tomorrow.

Pastafarians, rejoice!

World's oldest noodles unearthed:

The remains of the world's oldest noodles have been unearthed in China.

The 50cm-long, yellow strands were found in a pot that had probably been buried during a catastrophic flood.

Radiocarbon dating of the material taken from the Lajia archaeological site on the Yellow River indicates the food was about 4,000 years old.

Silence means security silence means approval

I think the old 60GB was $379, but I could be wrong.

I think it was $399. It's $369 if you have an education discount.

And definitely call the Apple store. And if they aren't willing to sell them, call other stores that carry them. I know Costco had them for $379 last time I looked (over the weekend).

The ump made a good call in the Sox-Angels game. Why the hell didn't Josh Paul tag him out? WTF?

Yep. My 2001-issue refurbished laptop has crashed on me once, but I had it almost filled with a bazillion files and hadn't run Disk Utility on it in forever. And it works fine today (except for Firefox, but I think it's the program that's buggy).
