Mal: Okay. She won't be winning any beauty contests anytime soon. But she is solid. Ship like this, be with ya 'til the day you die. Zoe: 'Cause it's a deathtrap.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We could use a leetle more rain. They keep forcasting it, but moving it back a few days. On Sunday it was going to rain today, Monday it was going to rain this weekend. Today I don't even see it in the forecast.

I was going to work late today to get ready for my trip to Houston. Instead I worked late on year end stuff, which means I get to work late tomorrow and on Saturday to get ready for Houston.

New fun thing about Houston trip. They don't know we're coming. Unless of course they lurk here, in which case...GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER PEOPLE!!!

None of this working late and uncomfortable trip should be taken as me bitching about my job however, because I still love it to pieces.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for loving your job, Daisy!

We're having flooding all over the place here, but luckily not where I am.

TAKE OURS. Yeah, drought, no rain in September, blahblahblah, tropical storm remnants (like you need those) but TAKE IT. We'll share!

It helps that my office has the good boss and coworkers.

I get more and more convinced that the only thing that matters wrt to liking or not a job is the poeple in it.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Okay, so, now that the new iPod has been announced, can I no longer buy the old model? 'Cause I want the 60GB, but I don't want to pay MORE for it than I would have if I'd bought the old model just last week, and I don't care about having video on it.

It's a large part of it. I was looking for exactly this job when I was hunting, and I'm so glad to be earning a living helping people- particularly people I don't think are treated with enough respect, but I imagine it would be very stressful if the people I worked with were buttheads. I'm happy to take a bit of a pay cut to get to work with people who for the most part share my views and values.

Nope. They've removed the non-video one from the store. Although, wasn't the 60GB non-video $399? Because that's what the video 60GB costs.

About to come home.
