HMOG, that sounds awesome.
And I'm totally putting on a fancy dress for laundry day next time, instead of my usual dirty sweats.
v. excited. a friend had borrowed my Firefly DVD's because they wanted to see the unaired eps. before seeing Serenity. They gave them back Sunday at the coffe shop. Someone 'stole' them before I got to take them home ( actually - there ws a slight scuffle about who got to take them home first). Anyway - the friend that took them - watched 5 episodes last night. hooked. one of us. toaster for me. and I suspect I will have another family on the line soon.
and I am usually the queen of laundry - I just don't dress the part.
I usually dress like there was an explosion in my dresser... does that make me queen of anything?
That article was fascinating, but I hadn't heard of hardly any of those people.
"I will donate $30/month for a year to finance a Joss Whedon-directed sequel to Serenity. but only if 10 other people will too."
— Christopher Rasch, North Carolina Browncoat
Dear Christopher,
There are people who don't have any food. There are people who don't have a place to live. There are people who have food and a place to live, but can't afford their blood pressure pills, and/or insulin. Your money is more powerful than financing a flick for Joss Whedon, who could certainly get investors for an indie release. Stop it. Now.
oh thank you. i was getting the shit kicked out of me at whedonesque for saying some Browncoats are a little, you know, nuts.
Didn't Kristen link to a story last night or this morning (possibly in the FF thread) on CHUD where the guy who got into it with Joss and the Browncoats was saying something about the line between fandom and the producers fading too much. Was this why? I didn't read the whole thing for some reason. I must have had to do something with the kids.
I have a baby shower gift question. (Actually, I think this might be my first baby shower. Huh.) They're registered for a bunch of practical things that I'm sure they'll actually need, but I'm so much more inclined to get them a pile of cute onesies from Old Navy and a book or two. Would that be wrong?
yes and then they will stop being your friend.
Dammit, that's what I was afraid of.
Cute note: the nursery is cowboy-themed!
