Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a baby shower gift question. (Actually, I think this might be my first baby shower. Huh.) They're registered for a bunch of practical things that I'm sure they'll actually need, but I'm so much more inclined to get them a pile of cute onesies from Old Navy and a book or two. Would that be wrong?

Dammit, that's what I was afraid of.

Cute note: the nursery is cowboy-themed!

Nope. A gift is a gift is a gift. Registries are tools, not commands.

Maybe something smallish off the registry plus a book or two. I always give books to kids!

Boss is out of town all week at meetings. Once again I am the sole technical support for our two sites in town. This means I get dragged away from a desk creaking under paperwork to go plug in network lines.

Le sigh.

My favorite part of that picture, aside from the eyes and the thumb in the mouth and the *tongue* and the arms, is that little strip of skin between the shirt and the pants.

Edit: Oh, and the hair. I like the hair.
