Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

James T. Kirk. They only play covers of James Brown, T(helonius Monk), and Roland Kirk.

Hee.

Dylan pointed out the James T. Kirkishness of my proposed pseudonym, but that's probably more an upside than a downside for any kind of writing I'll ever do.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The thing with Phoebe is, well...she's kind of deranged. Sweetly so, but not very bright and quite a few kittens shy of a litter. Seriously, she no less than 4 times today has fallen off the mantle or the kitchen table because she forgot she was up there and just rolled off while cleaning herself/getting comfortable/just because.

Silence means security silence means approval

My pseudonym of the last few years is Darius T. Sexypants. It's what I register the software on my work computer as.

First time some business computing telemarketer called for Mr. Sexypants it was hilarious.

"Hello, may I speak to Mr., uh, person in charge of your software?"

"I'm sorry, I think you need another person. Mr. Sexypants handles our business software purchases."

"Um, uh, is, um, he available?"

"Who?"

"That... person. Mr., um...."

"Sexypants? He's at lunch. I can have him..."

"Noproblemwe'llcallagainhaveaniceday. CLICK"

They never called again.

Hmm, so it may be the perfect cover-up name for you (nobody will guess it can be you under that name with that connection), but at the same time, well, I can totally see why it's not the one you'd choose. So, Ozymandias Northwest Time?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Hee, Raq!

I'm awake at 4:15. I'm going back to work today after having a week off, in which I did very little, if that. I don't want to go back to work. Blah.

Oh, and I just saw this excerpt from a new book by an Irish journalist who did an interview with Bush that became rather confrontational. Interesting look at the interview process, as well as how W reacts to reporters not interested in kissing his ass.

Up before sunrise is too early, Kathy!

I like "Batman Bayou" for Heather.

I remember that. It was all over the news. She was something of a hero for a while.
