Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bah. I'd totally order that middle pair from Zappo's (cheap enough to experiment), but they don't have them in my size in silver. The top pair are gorgeous, and priced like they know it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm skeptical of the "luminescent" straps on those middle shoes.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm on a conference call. Blah.

For thirty odd bucks and free shipping? I'd certainly have a look for myself. IF THEY HAD MY SIZE.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

do they have them in a half size up or down? with open toe shoes I'd be willing to fudge that.

Nowhere from 7.5 to 9.5.

A cube-neighbour (is there a clever way to say that) overheard someone complaining about how loudly she eats (he's trying to move cubes to avoid the noise), and made a big deal of no longer eating at her desk.

The complainer's not here today, and she ate (loudly) at her desk. I just know I'd be paranoid that more than just the complainer were bothered by this and by hyper vigilant, for at least a week. But this is the same co-worker that spat her food onto another guy's arm, so her levels are not my levels.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

spat her food onto another guy's arm

I have to ask -- deliberately, or more of an unconscious spraying?

Between that and Scola's nasty keyboard, I may actually have to give up eating at work. And possibly elsewhere as well. Expect flowers from the support guys.
