Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

do they have them in a half size up or down? with open toe shoes I'd be willing to fudge that.

Nowhere from 7.5 to 9.5.

A cube-neighbour (is there a clever way to say that) overheard someone complaining about how loudly she eats (he's trying to move cubes to avoid the noise), and made a big deal of no longer eating at her desk.

The complainer's not here today, and she ate (loudly) at her desk. I just know I'd be paranoid that more than just the complainer were bothered by this and by hyper vigilant, for at least a week. But this is the same co-worker that spat her food onto another guy's arm, so her levels are not my levels.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

spat her food onto another guy's arm

I have to ask -- deliberately, or more of an unconscious spraying?

Between that and Scola's nasty keyboard, I may actually have to give up eating at work. And possibly elsewhere as well. Expect flowers from the support guys.

Based on those links, Jesse, I'm going to have to check out my nearby Nordie's. The last shoes don't come in my size, and the first ones won't ship fast enough. But promising!

Involuntary spraying. She mopped it up, but didn't apologise.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm scouring the web for reaction to the Miers nomination. It's highly entertaining, although I honestly pity "true" conservatives who support Bush only because of the possibility of setting the next generations's Court agenda and were royally fucked by this.

Even if it were possible for Miers to pull a Souter and turn left I'd be afraid that, as a probable swing vote, she (well, her clerks) would draft a bunch of dimwit decisions that would be rather easily overturned.

People like the Nordstrom's, right? That's why I looked there.

I'm scouring the web for reaction to the Miers nomination.

My reaction has been along the lines of... Huh? Who? Huh? What's up with that?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I love the Nordstrom's for shoes, because they don't look at me like a big footed freak when I come in and ask for shoes in big footed freak sizes.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
