I don't have a problem with chickens having been alive. What I do have a problem with is chickens that are dead, being re-animated and dancing around the room, and possibly turning into a hungry Gremlin. I am pretty sure there must be a horror movie out there that touches on this topic.
Teppy's made some good LJ posts on anthropomorphized foods, which, no matter way you slice it (or them) are pretty much saying, "Eat me."
Tom, my standby tea is Keemun Ji Hong which is a nice China black without too much tannin and with a chocolaty aftertaste.
Roly poly fish heads / are never seen drinking / cappucino in Italian restaurants / with Oriental women....
I
really
don't want to know what a half-full can of beer up the behind would do to a live human. Probably, it would make them cranky, and cranky people in the kitchen are never helpful.
Fish heads, Fish heads
Rolly polly Fish heads
Fish heads, Fish heads

It gives a whole new meaning to high colonic, I'll tell you what.
My stance that meat should not be identifiable as having come from something living is once again validated. I do not practice vegetarianism so much as plausible deniability.

Well, there goes half the fun.

It's not some crazy moon talk.
(ill-conceived sodas) Pepsi Holiday Spice
Whither Crystal Pepsi?
I'm pretty sure my culinary secret boyfriend Alton Brown used either Coke or Dr Pepper as part of a ham glaze.
Dr. Pepper.
And come on people, using cola as part of a glaze is a Southern tradition! So is eating poke salad, but you don't have to boil Coke twice to extract the toxin.
And just a *teeny* bit of cocaine.
It's residual from the use of coca leaves in the process. It's really teeny. It something like 1kg of coke per 12,000 cans.
Pepsi, of course, still contains a small amount of pepsin. Dr. Pepper derives its flavor from prunes.

I think the above is food making itself a bit too helpful, but....
