Did she have a case of nursemaid's elbow?
Yep. Dylan posted about it upthread last night. No more swinging Annabel by the arms for us.

Ouch! Sorry for the disruption Susan.
Yay sj!! (see beep me)
{{{Annabel & Susan}}} Good luck today.
Did she have a case of nursemaid's elbow? I've read that it's fairly easy for kids to jerk their elbow (especially when being held by their hands) into a partial dislocation.
Skimmer! Yeah, that's what Dylan said last night.
Ugh with the sleep, and may it go right back to normal.
Yikes, Susan. Glad she's okay. We had something similar happen with Ben when he was two -- he swallowed a dime and had it caught in his throat. He could still breathe, but we realized as we walked into the ER that he had swallowed it completely. Which meant three hours of waiting and X rays to hear, "It'll show up on the other end eventually."
Yay sj! Congratulations!
I always worried about that with the boys. All the neighborhood kids want DH to swing them around. It hasn't happened yet, but it worries me. That and tossing them around in the pool which freaks me out. But the kids squeal and laugh the whole time.
edit to fix typos
My brother used to get "nursemaid's elbow" all the time, when he was 2-3-4. We learned how to pop it back in, but it's sure freaky the first time it happens. He said it didn't hurt as long as he held it very very still in exactly the right position. He hated having it popped back - that's the part he said hurt.
His arm works fine now, if that's a concern.
I've noticed that the area previously affected (lower back) is now, sometimes, like going numb?
Hmm. That doesn't sound good, exactly.

Yeah. I'm going so see how it goes over the weekend. Also, my eye is bloody/red on one side and kind of achey (since Tuesday). I've got the bird flu or something. I'm falling apart over here!
Note to body: just, you know, quit it.
Thanks for the congratulations. I keep reminding myself that I will not come home with a new lingerie wardrobe tomorrow. I must remember to take a paycheck home from this job.
