Just made the menu and grocery list. It's going to be scrumptious!
Now to shower...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So, no cancer for my mother. La maladie des griffes de chat instead, which is unfortunate and awkward (particularly since her biopsy site is inflamed), but no cancer. Yay!
That is very good news indeed!
Damn, were the Bitches struck dumb in my prolonged absence? SLOOOOWWWW.
Sorry for posting and then disappearing. The vicadin kicked in and I needed to try to sleep. I had to sleep sitting up since the cat ripped the ear on the side I normally sleep on. Sleeping on the other side was not an option as I (tmi alert) didn't want blood draining into my ear canal.
I'm at work. Luckily I mouse with my left at work as I can't grip anything with my right hand. Couldn't even turn on the engine with my right hand this morning.
So, to explain. Tuesday night we got a dog from a friend of DH's. Cody is 2.5 years old and was an abused puppy. He is part Australian Shepard, part Collie, weighs about 30 pounds and has bright blue eyes. He is a sweet dog, though a bit skiddish.
Miss Kitty is not too sure about dogs. Her only other experience has been with a dog who was very aggressive. Cody has been curious about her, but not pushy about it.
Last night the cat wanted out, but was scared to go near the door even though the dog was not in the room. I walked over to her, intending to just open the door and then shoo her out. All I remember happening from there is that she walked toward me, so I picked her up out of habit. Apparently behind me, Cody had reentered the room and the cat freaked. She bit my hand and then climbed up and over my head, biting and scratching as she went.
Lovely, eh? Why I picked her up without making sure the dog was secure somewhere else is beyond me. It is all my fault, but still...owie.
oh, man. That is rough. I'm sorry mg!
Nora, how's your back?
Oh, yeowch.
My poor kitty is in heat; I am getting her fixed next week, but she went into heat before her appt. I feel so bad for her; it looks absolutely miserable.
it's much better- gets a little creaky every once in a while, but other than that OK. Though, I've noticed that the area previously affected (lower back) is now, sometimes, like going numb? Like, I feel like something's on it? I notice especially when in bed, or this morning I noticed when I was in the shower. that's new, started, hmm, Monday night. So I don't know if there's nerve damage working itself out or I left those heat wraps on for too long or what.
Yay for no cancer.
We spent about two hours in the Children's Hospital ER last night, even though we now realize Annabel's elbow had already snapped back into place by the time we got there. As a result she was nearly three hours late getting to bed, which threw her sleep schedule off somehow and made her wake up for an hour or so at 3:00 a.m.
I'm the only one in the household awake at the moment, and I fully expect to gronk and grumble my way through the day.

Did she have a case of nursemaid's elbow? I've read that it's fairly easy for kids to jerk their elbow (especially when being held by their hands) into a partial dislocation.
