The interview with Victoria's Secret was weird. They interviewed three of us at once. One of the girls was so incredibly stupid. She said almost nothing the whole time, but when she did speak I wanted to smack her. "Like you know my last like job [her only job] like was the like worst thing like evah". The other lady was nice, but has almost no retail experience. I really hope I get this job.

Thanks, they made us walk around the store and familiarize ourselves with the products (as if I don't already know the store like the back of my hand), and I think I already spent my first 3 paychecks in my head. I hope I get the job, but I must remember that I cannot spend my whole paycheck at work.

I have mega-dry-eyes due to the psoriasis and am on a new "treatment regimen" that includes washing my eyelids and lashes with Johnson's baby shampoo every day.

I've been whining and moaning because my psoriasis on my scalp and eyebrows is so awful right now, but this sounds much worse. Psoriasis should really just go away now! But I would be interested to hear how this works for you, Deena.

Over the course of the next week, I have to schedule a mammogram, a visit with a dermatologist, a visit with a gastroenterologist and x-rays of my hands and feet. This doctor doesn't let the grass grow. She put me on wellbutrin. If I start acting weird(er) (again) over the course of the next few weeks, please let me know.

Gah! I just called to make an appointment with my doctor for a UTI, and it turns out she's just going on maternity leave, so I had an appointment with the locum doctor who's covering for a few months. She was nice, and I'm sure good, but we just didn't get along. She didn't seem to understand anything I said, and I didn't understand her at all either (the nurse came in and said that I had a prescription for the UTI that the doctor had told me about, only, she never told me anything except some test results that meant nothing to me). Anyway, I'm supposed to have some more tests, and am being all passive aggressive by not scheduling them, because they're icky and I don't wanna, but more because I don't want to make another appointment with the temp doctor to talk about them. Which, is really a long and involved and selfish way of saying how great you are, Deena, for getting tests done and figuring out how to make things better. Whew!

Dirty dishes mean we're eating. Washing them means we're ready and expecting to eat some more. The whole cycle has a nice grateful/hopeful vibe to it.

This is just wonderful. I have no dishwasher, although I have in the past. I miss having a dishwasher terribly, as I hate doing dishes. Unfortunately, I react by not doing dishes, and since there is no one else in the house with hands (two cats, but in this context they don't count), that means piles in the sink. Perhaps I can meditate on this while doing dishes, and make the process less painful.

The hell? How did I get so far behind I had to skip 1300ish posts to pretend to be caught up?

medicinal peas

I like to use frozen corn. I do this because I hate corn that has been frozen, but use frozen peas for food regularly. This way, I never have to worry which vegetables are good to eat and which are not.

I have a database demonstration to attend soon. I hope the demonstrators brought cookies. I concentrate better on sales pitches hyped up on sugar. Or maybe I just want cookies.

I'm so jealous, Sparky. We never get bribes from our database vendors. Of course, with the extra travel, we rarely get sales visits in person. Even Lexis is going downhill with their gifties. I suspect we may be peanuts in the grand scheme of library purchasing. Although, we do spend a fortune on Ebsco and a fair amount on FirstSearch.

On the bright side of it all, today is Alaska Day, an official state holiday, and I'm off work. Of course, I'm at work anyway. But I didn't get here until 2pm and am taking time to catch up on buffistas and a few other things before commencing actual work, so it's almost like a real holiday.

eta: I almost forgot. I've been so skimmy lately that I've only been sending punctuation in my head. Much punctuation to all who need it, especially Ben. Kids should just never be sick.

vw, I think we share a classmate. There is a woman in one of my classes that is dumb as a box of rocks. She doesn't know what a bill is (as in "duck:bill"). No, I'm not kidding.

She was a very nice goth, but the database she wants to sell us costs 75K (with the discount -- I asked her if it came with a pony. She looked confused, so I'm guessing she's not a regular here). Apparently, Thomson got the wrong idea when we bought the first part of the database for 100K last year.

If I could have a database pony it would be Lexis' digitized Serial Set.
