Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
and may the treatment stick
Ye good and varied gods, I hope so. BiL didn't get admited last night, something about his blood alcohol being too high and then having his legs go numb (diabetes side effect, I am thinking) sending him to the ER. But he's in now. And there are thirty days for it to find something in him to stick to.
The insomnia faries have struck. I have PT early in the morning too. These are a little less than mixy. So this might be a vent-n-run.
I also skipped a couple hundred messages to get here too. There's a threadsuck waiting if I can get to it tomorrow night. If I missed anything, nudge me.
{{{Everybody}}}
Skimmed while waiting for Mal to fall asleep. We had an early start this morning to drop the houseguest off for a city tour, and then go to the doctor's. Mal turned 6 months old yesterday, so today was shot day.
I used to work with a woman who developed diabetes as a result of being alcoholic. Her husband was completely incapable of standing up to her, so she ended up either in a coma or something like a coma for 2 weeks. She recovered, however, and I believe she's got the alcoholism under control. (She's still an asshat, though).
How did Mal do with his shots, Raq?
Timelies all! I didn't sleep well last night, I think due to the loan issue. I've decided to quit dealing with the one-stop center and go straight to the director of Financial Aid. They need to know they are having these kinds of problems. I'll probably stop by the one-stop today just so I can say I did. But, straight to the top I go.
Today is my long day...plus, I start my new job. Yay!
Poor meara, you're working too much.
Her middle name is "Celia", but when she was about two, she thought her middle name was "Ceiling".
I know this was years and years ago, and that your sister is an adult, but that's still a dead-from-cute thing.
(She's still an asshat, though).
Heh. Treatment only goes so far.
Mal is SIX MONTHS OLD? Wow. That seems fast. Does it seem fast to you, Raq?
But he's in now. And there are thirty days for it to find something in him to stick to.
Cass, I know I've heard that each time into treatment is a step closer to recovery. I hope the 30 day plan sticks and sticks well and good.
how can there be such a thing as good insurance news? wow, I don't think I ever saw a miracle before.
Hee. I think our old employer did something like Paul's & dw's--cutting the premium of a certain plan, but it was so long ago, I can't remember the particulars. I think they did it to get us all to switch over to it, because for whatever reason, it was cheaper for them. It still is a nice thing to see though, particularly if it's the plan you already use. For us, it wasn't; it was a competing plan, and not one we wanted.
cereal...

Good luck, vw. I think your strategy is wise.
Oh, shit. This morning is not going well. I clearly need more coffee, but maybe what I need more is to just crawl back into bed.
A little backstory...I joined this knitting/crocheting group at church. I suggested a yarn to use on our first project, and the woman who started the group is having trouble with it. I've talked to our very own Anne to get some advice with how to work with her, etc. So, I replied to an e-mail she sent this morning about more trouble. Then, she responded, telling me I was wrong, so I wanted to run that past Anne. So, I thought I forwarded the e-mail to Anne adding, "Is this true? Did I just make myself look like a big, stupid fool?"
Only, I didn't hit the forward button. I hit reply. Fortunately, I realized it and e-mailed the woman right away saying I was trying to get advice from a yarn expert, and I think it will be ok. But, oy.
Edit: Thanks, Cindy! I think it's the best thing to do at this point. Thankfully, I document things pretty well, and they're going to wish they hadn't messed with me :)
Good luck with the job, vw!
We should really be getting around this morning. I signed us up for storytime at the library and it's at 9:30. I hope O enjoys it.
Thanks, Anne! You're the bestest!
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. I have somehow completely screwed my finances this month. A good bit of it was bills, but far from all, and I really didn't realize how close to the wire I was getting. Now I'm going to have to take money out of savings just to keep afloat. It's only six days from my last freaking paycheck. And I still haven't paid my car registration, and I have two weddings coming up in early October that I haven't bought gifts for yet.
