Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Cool! I think one of the best concerts I ever saw was Dinosaur Jr. in Vancouver in 1993? 1994? It was on old ballroom that had a sprung floor, and you could feel the audience bouncing up and down even if you weren't. Anyway, I think they played only about 8 songs in a ninety minute show...lots of long noodling guitar tangents. At one point, they went from a trippy, extended version of Thumb, right into a driving version of Budge which totally blew everyone's mind, and we all went crazy.
Let me state for the record that it was a school night, and I was stone cold sober, unlike most people there.
My god, that was so long ago now.

I saw them in SF probably '91 or '92. Nirvana opened for them. crazy!
Watch and post as I try to score Sonic Youth/Feelies tickets.
The site where you claim your free tickets was supposed to open at noon. It went down even before then.
Please note that this is a reservation only; tickets must be picked up June 18, 21 or 24 at one of several downtown locations (to be specified on your ticket confirmation) or they will be released for re-distribution.
One of those days I'll be away for the F2F, and you need photo ID to pick up the tickets.
Score!
Awesome. Color me intensely green with jealousy.
What Corwood said.
Glad you got tix, Tom. I'm more than a little annoyed that you have to show up in person with photo ID to claim them. What about us out of towners?
I've got one extra ticket; it would be awesome if you could come down. We'd have to ditch FAQWife, though.
