I could listen to Who's Next over and over and over
iTunes tells me I haven't listened to this entire album since 4/21/2004. So that'll make a good album to start out the day with.
I like the album, but I love early Who so much more....
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

It just seemed. . . odd so I had this sudden horrible thought that something bad had happened. That's not true, is it?
I think she's got a new CD out, sumi. The CBS Sunday morning show also had an interview with her. She's back in music after having stepped away from it for several years.
Joni Mitchell has a new album I think (based on distracted NPR listening). So it was probably that, and not that she's died.
Also, there's a tribute album to Joni out including work by people like Bjork and Prince and Elvis Costello.
Whew.
Are either of the albums any good?
The Magnetic Fields just announced a few shows in Somerville, NYC, SF, LA and Seattle, in February & March. Tix just went on sale: [link]

Let's see - they got the East coast and West coast - but aren't they still forgetting part of the country?
The flyover part?
Yeah, that's the part of the country I was trying to remember....
ION, is it just me? I think Who's Next has four good/great songs, but everything else seems like filler to me. Isn't it supposed to be one of the most awesome albums in the history of the universe or something?

I'm trying to think of which songs you don't like.
I love "Going Mobile" (even with its cheesy synthlines), and "My Wife" (one of Entwhistle's classics), "Bargain" (great, ferocious love song), "This Song is Over" (one of Pete's best quiet piano tunes). "Getting in Tune" is a lesser ditty but it's still a good song. I figure you've already got "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Baba O'Riley" on the good list.
