Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Punishingly Intricate

My wife pre-ordered both David's book and mine, along with a handful of things that she wanted right away, and got no message about the delay. Nor did she get the in-stock items she wanted right away. Instead, her Amazon invoice says that she'll get everything sometime in late December/early January. She is not pleased with Amazon at the moment.

I suggest supporting your "local" (well, we're all on the same internet) independent bookseller!

My friends' store, Atomic Books carries (and promotes!) the 33 1/3 books, for example. I don't think you can pre-order yet but they will definitely carry them!

Or there's always Powell's.

Oh, I hear, Lisa. I usually buy my 33 1/3 books at Waterloo Records or BookPeople.

I figured you must have some good options down your way but I always like to put plugs in for my people.

I've been to Austin once, and I loved the place. Quite a cool city. Reminded me of Ann Arbor in a lot of ways, but all college towns do that, I think.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

This could just as well go in the Office thread, but Office fans read here too: Jimmy Durante presents the Grass Roots (with Creed Bratton). I have to say, I'm diggin' the song. I wonder if it's been sampled. [link]

Ann, that's a ferret.

RIP, Teresa Brewer. Of course, this will not stop me from trying to name a Music thread with a lyric from "Music! Music! Music"
