The Feelies at the Paradise in Boston (I don\'t remember what year, somewhere in \'86-90) in my Top 5 Best Rock Shows Ever.
Hey! I was probably there! You should have looked for me.
I can\'t grab the \"dancing barefoot\" cover at work either, but I have it on some 12\" single. It is awesome. Although Brenda sings lead, Glenn Mercer does the spoken word part near the end that gives me chills.
I just remembered something. Their booking agent once told me that their real names were not Bill and Glenn. They were, in fact, Glenn and Bill. He was very insistant about this.
Btw, I expect this is obvious but I\'ve only started doing this recently. Doing the blog search on Google is the fastest way I\'ve found for nabbing obscure music tracks.
You know about the hype-machine, right? [link] There are other music blog aggregators, but I can\'t remember the urls right now.

I'm listening to The Feelies right now AIFG!
("Raised Eyebrows" - love that song.)

I do! That's how I started tracking down all those live Tom Waits shows. Sweet Zombie Jesus, Raindogs are worse than Deadheads for recording every freaking' show. And yet, I still don't have a copy of the Cold Beer bootleg. Dammit.
I gotta say, the Paramount show from the late nineties I linked to a while back is probably my favorite. Great material and great sound and a fantastic band (as ever).
...and look what you turn up with the Hype Machine.
Feelies live at Max's Kansas City in 1978.

I saw Tom there in early '97, IIRC. Is that the show? If so, can you post the link again?

I think that's it. I don't know if I still have the link, but I can post it at BR if I don't. I'll check when I get home.

Oh. Wait. You're THAT guy??!!
I loved the Paradise. They had great shows and it was right across the street from my house.
I know I've got a Doc Watson song about a Whistle Pig! 'course that's a groundhog not a pig pig.
Wasn't there a famous short story to the effect that "Pigs is pigs."?
I loved the Paradise.
Me too. I saw Los Lobos and The Replacements there in the early eighties ('83-'85).
Jon saw all the shows. We've already figured out all the ones we attended in common during my brief tenure in Boston.

That'd be cool. That was the most amazing live show I've ever seen. He had an awesome band for that show....
