"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I also meant to mention that if you read Lost In The Grooves and were intrigued (as I was) by the description of Appaloosa and were discouraged (as I was) by its rarity, then weep no more.

It's just been re-released on CD. I picked one up last night.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Now playing: The 6ths Wasp Nest.

You should all play this record today! If you don't already own it, then you should go buy it.

I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

That's a good one, alright.

Also almost Merrittless Merritt. The guy sings like he's raising the dead in a Hammer film.

If celebrity deaths always happen in three's than maybe we are done for a while. CNN is reporting that Lou Rawls has died.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I can only say that I'm glad that I wasn't the one who posted that.

(on edit: because I've been feeling like a black cloud or something.)

Nice! And very cool that they highlighted several buffista-written sidebars.

I am currently listening to Jon's Best of 2005 Breakfast of Champions podcast (which aired 12/30). I highly recommend. First - you get to hear Jon being all proud of how organized he is for the four-hour show. Hee. Second, it's four hours of Best-of-the-Year goodness. Anyone who has gotten a Best of Mix from Jon in the past knows this is not to be missed. I especially love it because it gives me a million ideas for new stuff to download/buy. (So far this morning I've downloaded The Earlies.)

Anyhoo - if you don't listen to BoC regularly this is a good one to download.
