Mal: How come you didn't turn on me, Jayne? Jayne: Money wasn't good enough. Mal: What happens when it is? Jayne: Well... that'll be an interesting day.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I did my annual Xmas radio show this morning and used a few of Hec's powerpop selections. Playlist is here. Podcast is here.

Sweet! "Mods of Christmastown"? I need that. And I didn't know the Chills had a xmas song.

Ha! You know how I "found" those two songs? I created a smart playlist in iTunes for songs pegged as "Holiday" genre, or songs or album names with Christmas in them. Those particular two songs surprised me as well!

The Chills song appeared on the "Secret Box" 3 CD collection of outtakes and live tunes that Martin released a few years ago.

The Zumpano song was on the CD included with Ptolemaic Terrascope #25.

I can get both up onto Buffistarawk, maybe this evening.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It's gotta be tough, no doubt, but doing interviews about how tough it is while trying to get famous strikes me as... disingenuous?

Sheepish

I broke Buffistarawk! I decided to take advantage of my parent's high speed connection to download some songs, and somewhere nearing 20 songs, I got a note saying that the account was suspended for 24 hours due to "unusual usage." So I'm saying, my bad, and letting people know what it going on.

Sorry about that chief.
