Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Merriest Christmas to my favorite Lexicogratrix!

I broke Buffistarawk! I decided to take advantage of my parent's high speed connection to download some songs, and somewhere nearing 20 songs, I got a note saying that the account was suspended for 24 hours due to "unusual usage." So I'm saying, my bad, and letting people know what it going on.
Sorry about that chief.
I got a note saying that the account was suspended for 24 hours due to "unusual usage."
Probably inevitable... or only temporarily evitable.
I mean, if they care about "unusual usage," there's probably a lot about the usage of that account that's been "unusual" for months now....
I just got that message, Sue, and was coming here to see if we knew anything about it. My guess is that it has more to do with the number of people who have been accessing it lately, or accessing it at the same time, rather than the number of songs downloaded by any one person.

I admit, I haven't read the TOS, but are we actually using the account in a way that we're not supposed to?
Yeah, the TOS talks about infringing on others intellectual property rights.
Has there been any talk of Kate Bush's new CD in here?
I bought it for S for Xmas and I'm really glad we did.
I've bought it but have only listened to it one time through yet. It's the kind of thing I know I'll need to immerse myself in. I'm sure I'll love it.
Right now I've got the laptop hooked to the turntable and am digitizing songs I only own on LP to teach my accompanist what I want to do for my gig on Jan. 12. Sheesh, I should digitize at least a couple songs a day. I have a number of LPs that are out of print and have never been reissued on CD. Right now I'm doing some of the terrific '30s swing/string band stuff that Rambler Records issued.
