It's my favorite VM quote.
'Dirty Girls'
Veronica Mars: Annoy, Tiny Blonde One. Annoy Like the Wind.

rumour has it that Tina Majorino has her own pilot. so we may not see her.
It didn't get picked up.
Shiny new thread!
I met a girl who was starring in a local play a couple of weekends ago who apparently landed a recurring VM role for next season. Go her! She's an incredible actor and cute as a button.

well, there we go! good. maybe we'll see more of Mac next season then.
She's an incredible actor and cute as a button.
Awesome. That's how I like my buttons.

I am a big fat meanie, but... yay!
There's no way she could see her actions as being more than slightly shady, and no way she could be convinced that the ends don't justify the means. Her best available role model is her father, and he invades people's privacy for a living.
I'm never sure how much of the PI work Keith & Veronica do together lies in the shade of gray vs. definitely crosses the line. After all, being a PI is a legitimate line of work, right? I have no issues with them taking photographs of cheating spouses, but reading someone's confidential medical records? Is that prosecutable by law? Is this something Keith would do as well in his line of work, or would he put a brake on himself before going that far?
For some reason, I was not overly bothered bothered by Veronica/Leo other than thinking, "oh, Veronica. He's sweet and cute and all, but really, he's not the shiniest spoon in the cutlery drawer, is he?"
This is going to make me sound like a sociopath – but I have no problem with Veronica invading people’s privacy on the show, because it was established that this is how she fights back. She goes after the truth, she gets the dirt on horrid people, etc. Buffy had her physical strength, Veronica has her snoopiness. However, I do think it's bad when she invades the privacy of people who love and/or trust her.
(My opinion is only based on the 33% of the episodes I’ve seen, though.)
I love Meg and Mac as well. And one of the things I liked about later in the first season was Veronica starting to allow herself to have friends again beyond Wallace.
I never cared much for Leo. He started growing on me towards the end, (particularly with the "Please, please try to resist arrest." bit) but he bugged me for the most part.
I definitely think Veronica went much farther than Keith ever would in her investigations, but I seem to recall she only pulled the really unethical stuff when it came to investigating Lily's murder. Which is rather understandable, all things considered. And I could definitely see Keith crossing that same line if he was investigating something that was personal rather than just a case.

I'm pretty sure that planting bugs in peoples hotel rooms isn't precisely legal, and we've seen Keith sanction that.
And now I'm gonna have to decide which of VM and LOST is the show I record, and which I ahem.
VM has me live for the simple fact that i'm still bitter of that
Amen. Lost, which I loved last season enough to type up transcripts for a few eps, is now dead to me. I may not be able to resist a peek, but it will be a peek of a dead and rotting, albeit surprisingly attractive, corpse.
That came out all wrong, but I'm keeping it in case someone might think it's witty instead of disgusting.
Oh, and too bad, but yeah!, on the cancelled pilot. More air time would be a good thing.
