Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Oh yeah, I remember that now! Thanks for clearing it up.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, I think that the time between the hallway scene and the scene with the Beav was longer than it appears in the episode.

Was that the first episode entirely devoid of flashbacks?

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Catching up thanks to Bit Torrent...

I thought (and granted I know nothing and was lost throughout half the story) that Wallace recognized the paper as being the same as the note that was left on Cranky's car.

Just so. When Wallace is reading the note from the car, you can see that it was ripped from the same kind of notebook as the reporter. Also, I think folding it up like he did would sort of ruin any shot of getting a rubbing, if that's what he was after.

theories?

I think the bus crash was sabotage that got out of hand. I don't think the people who planned it expected the bus to go off a cliff. There doesn't seem to me to be a way to predict with certainty when the brakes or steering would let go if it was sabotage. (Which reminds me. Has Sheriff Dumbass yet checked the wreck for mechanical problems? Seems to me that would be the first thing they'd do.)

What if flowered shirt guy was the one who jimmied the brakes on the bus (or whatever was done to sabotage it)? If it was supposed to be non-lethal, then he probably felt remorse about the folks getting killed, which explains why he was lighting a candle at the site.

Also, when he was holding the candle, there was nothing written on his palm, so maybe something happened this episode to get his (or his employer's) attention. The only people who could be worried that Veronica was nosing around this ep were Mr. and Mrs. Cotter. Mr. Cotter might have known about his wife and Doyle, and could've had flowered shirt guy sabotage the bus to embarrass Doyle, maybe get him fired.

Another suspect is Woody. He running on a platform of making Neptune safe, and mechanical problems with a school bus could be used to show lax safety standards in Neptune city government. I don't know why he would go to such an extent, given that Veronica says he's a shoo-in, but Nixon didn't need to bug Watergate, either.

I didn't realize it first time I watched, but Jackie's father is Keith's baseball hero.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I didn't realize it first time I watched, but Jackie's father is Keith's baseball hero.

*smacks forehead* That's why he looked familiar - he was in the first episode.

For some of us, he will always be Felicity's art professor who inspired her to create a lot of paintings about pinatas.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I am not anti-Veronic/Duncan by any means, but she suddenly had an epiphany to sleep with Duncan? Weak.

Not that weak. since I've know a lot of high school girls that do decide to have sex because of reasons like that.

I love wallace, so glad to see his story. and it was nice that it had the usual VM twist. and if there is any niceness in this girl - he'll find it.

I am way more interested in next week's episode.
