In completely bizarre news:
With reports of The CW canceling Veronica Mars, fans of the girl detective can take heart in this piece of exclusive news: CW's buzzed-about new drama Gossip Girl, based on the best-selling teen book series, will feature voiceover narration by none other than... Kristen Bell as Gossip Girl herself. Gossip Girl will reportedly air this fall on The CW on Wednesdays at 9 p.m., after Top Model.
Yay Gossip Girl! With Kristen Bell!
That is all.

I suspect that the CW is ready to give VM:FBI a shot if Rob Thomas has anything at all decent for them. I suspect they are holding onto Kristen Bell in the meantime by hooking her up with this
Gossip Girl
gig (plus, she does give good voice over). So, she's still working, but she's not committed to anything (like a different new series) that would make it impossible for them to have her be VM:FBI.
I don't care. I'm still free. You can't take my hat from me.

I've held off on mentioning this because I didn't want to appear like I couldn't see beyond the tip of my own nose but... eh: The depiction of the Irish on this show is outright racist.
So, Keith picks up some thief, sees he has a tattoo that evokes Irishness and assumes that he works with the local Irish mob. I'd assume that too if I lived in a universe where every Irish male I'd met or ever heard made reference to was a murderous thug or Catholic priest. The conflation of Irishness and violent thuggery is a point on which the writers need to stop sucking and then need to stop sucking retroactively because the Fitzpatricks have been one of the most embarrassing aspects of this show over the last two years.
