You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

DX, by 'Erlich' do you mean O'Dell?

Yeah. Coincidentally, William Daniels was on The Closer last night, so I went to a St. Elsewhere place.

Art Crawl!!!

BTW, did anyone here get a promo for VM after last night's episode? Apparently, there are some who did and when they did it gave a return from hiatus date of May 1st.

What is even happening?

I did not get a promo, and I specifically waited for one, because something that was said somewhere over the last week or two led me to believe this long hiatus was a relatively new decision, so I thought a promo might squeak in, by accident. Do you know the contents of the promo? If so, would you please tell me in Spoilers Lite, sumi?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Oh, I don't think that was a truthful answer. I think Veronica gave the nice answer, and the answer that allowed her to save face. I mean, how is she supposed to say, "Yeah, it bothers me a lot," and retain any dignity. She had a little warning it was coming from Wallace, and from Parker's failed attempt to speak with her, and so she faked up some grace.

I don't know. The fact that she teased Wallace for telling her in the first place is what makes me wonder. I can understand her putting on a strong face, that's Veronica, but I would think she would show at least a little bit with Wallace if it bothered her.

I suspected Tim even before I knew what the second mystery was going to be; he was just too obviously creepy.

And Lucky/Tim meets another unfortunate fate.

Anyone want to guess what kind of wig and facial hair configuration they're going to use to bring the actor back again next season?

You know that news cast that played during Keith and Veronica's final scene, when they were eating? Did anyone else expect that it would be Harmony Chase's husband? I think I expected it to be something, and then it seemingly wasn't, which may have been why the end of the episode felt a little flat to me.

Well, maybe it would have been something but they aren't doing any more arcs this year.

That was my impression, too. It was sort of a "Here's where we would setup the next big mystery, but whoops, we're not having any more."

Someone asked above if Tim had a reason for hating the Dean, and I couldn't remember one.

I don't think we were ever presented with one. We know the Dean was an ass to quite a few of his students (including Veronica in the beginning) and Tim mentioned that everyone hated the Dean in the episode, so it's possible he ran afoul of the Dean during his time at Hearst. Or it could be he didn't care about the Dean that much one way or the other and simply saw him as a way to get back Landry. I know for a lot of highschool and college students, the principals and deans, because they don't interact with them much, are simply vague authority figures in their mind rather than actual people.

Didn't get one here, just a preview for the re-run of Smallville this week (I didn't get it either). But May 1st is just craziness. A 2-month hiatus?

I think when she was teasing Wallace, she honestly didn't think it would amount to anything. Oooh, Parker and Logan were eating, in the caf. big whoop.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Tim didn't look convincing this episode--mostly until he took over that class. I was writing it off to bad acting, but now I'll put it on bad directing.

Or something.

The case better rest every time on confessions, since the chain of evidence was well and truly broken with just about everything--I thought it was cute that Tim shifted to the sleeve method of concealing his identity, until he picked up the disposable phone with his bare hands. Then I knew it was him.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The promo showed here. I didn't notice the date, though.

I could have sworn the promo I saw said April 24th.
