Now tagless for your comfort.

I think the rage against Madison is displaced. I keep the hatred of Madison separate--she's a bitch and Veronica has a myriad of other reasons for despising her. But the fact that she placed the blame for her rape mostly on Madison's shoulders when she has snippy but cutely comedic conversation with Dick just about every episode rubs me the wrong way. She freezes up with disgust whenever she sees Madison--why not with Dick?

Dick spiked the drink. Dick egged Beaver on towards the rape and left him with an unconscious Veronica. The fact that she just accepts Dick as Logan's roommate without a lot of bitching or nagging, when she doesn't hesitate to voice her displeasure at Logan for other reasons seems ridiculous to me.

This is bothersome to me when I factor in the other story lines ("feminazis", sorority girls, sexually active girls=promiscuous, etc.) It all sort of smacks of misogyny to me.

Which, granted, is a severe accusation to lob at the writers but this is how I feel at the moment.

Because books.

Where is everyone? I watched in real time, for once!

Why is there another murder, when the Dean's hasn't been solved? They're related somehow?

I'm ashamed to admit I can't resist Emo Logan. And Emo Logan babysitting a preteen! Really kind of cute.

Um, I think that's it.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Is it wrong that I want the 11-year-old to give Veronica a talking to?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Why is there another murder, when the Dean's hasn't been solved? They're related somehow?

It's just the trustees' way of dealing with that pesky "Can't fire 'em because they have tenure" issue.

Also, in an episode where Dick goes to Vegas and gets married, he comes off as the smart one when Veronica is so arrogantly clueless as to smuggle a hollowed out book into jail.

i'm thinking there's going to be some kind of parallel between Coach/Josh and Dean/whatever dean's son's name is. Dean's son is really the only logical person in the running for the murder.

pleasepleaseplease let that be the end of mopey, sad sack Logan.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm thinking the same thing.

When they introduced the 11 year-old, I rolled my eyes and cringed. But she grew on me.

I'm glad we got to see some of Logan's wit this episode amidst the moping. The "Who was that?" "Your brother-in-law." and him giving the irate teacher an apple gave me hope for the future.

Annoyed that we only got five minutes of Wallace in an episode centered around the death of the basketball coach. You'd think if any episode would be an oppurtunity for more Wallace...

someone on my flist pointed out that the little girl was none other that Little Girl God from Joan of Arcadia. i liked her then and i liked her tonight too.

the scene in the elevator was awkward mixed with adorable and her squeeing about Veronica.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Little Girl God!

That whole side plot could have been puke-worthy if Heather were played by anyone but the awesome Juliette Goglia. I love her. As it stands, I thought her interaction with Logan were sweet without being saccharine, but thank GOD she finally got Logan to get the hell out of that hotel room. (And the bit with the apple! A glimmer of the old snarky Logan!)

Did Veronica *really* help break Josh out of jail? I mean, Alexandre Dumas was an ironic reading material for that particular situation, but unless those were magic teleportation cookies, I can't see how that could have been accomplished.

Dean O'Dell's letter of recommendation actually made me a little sniffly. Aww.

All in all, not a bad ep.

Art Crawl!!!

tiggy! THAT'S who she was -- I could not remember.

Okay, I had a massive taping malfunction and lost the first six minutes of the episode. So Wallace WAS in it? My tape started when Veronica was accepting the bribe her dad left and walked in on the Coach's widow and son consulting Keith.

Did I miss any crime scene stuff?

And yeah, things are topsy-turvy when Dick is the together one.

I really don't think that Veronica helped whathisface escape.

What is even happening?

sumi, I don't remember everything, but the teaser included Wallace and Veronica having ice cream (or something). I don't think you missed crime scene stuff, but you maybe missed the Coach/father coming down on the player/son, and the son quitting the team.

Little girl god! I knew I liked her. I was all set to hate the Logan and the Incorrigible Moppet aspect of this episode, and then I didn't, and couldn't figure out why. Now I know. She was kind of particularly adorable in the awkward elevator scene.

Oh show. You felt like you, last night. I don't know how or why, but you did. Thank you, show.
