What is even happening?

Thanks, Simon (and thanks for hooking Michael up, too).

I really felt sorry for Wendy, near the end, there -- which was a huge surprise (the feeling sorry for her, that is).

I can absolutely believe (even beside what we saw last week) that Logan hooked up (a lot, even) after he broke up with Veronica. Why wouldn't he? He broke up with her, because he thought they were just going to end up hurting each other. It's not like she dumped him, and he was trying to win her back. That said, I am surprised he'd hook up with Madison.

I can't believe Veronica blackmailed a judge, though, particularly over such a small case, where the judge wasn't actively trying to harm her client. When Logan thinks you're being reckless -- maybe it's time to take a step back. Weird. I could believe Keith in the uniform, though.

I can't decide if there is a reason Veronica is taking this sort of risk, or if the writers are just not that into having the stories be character driven.

What is even happening?

I just read through that Whedonesque thread, and it kind of cracks me up how upset people still are about Keith sleeping with Harmony. He also broke it off, for crying out loud. Are characters supposed to always be morally perfect, now? The guy is in his forties. He was abandoned by his wife, and dumped by his last girlfriend. He's alone most of the time. A beautiful woman makes it clearly known that she wants him.

Is the moral outrage in the fanbase funny to anyone else, or just me? I mean, I found Keith's stumble understandable and sympathetic, and to me, it seemed the important point was not that Keith stumbled, but that he picked himself back up.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Art Crawl!!!

I watched Buffy after Veronica Mars.

Actually, I thought it held together much better on rewatch and I would so not trust anything Madison said.

Although, I don't understand why they are writing Keith so stupid.

Okay, if Mrs. O'Dell murdered her husband -- did she hire Keith because she thinks he's incompetent? Does that mean that she hasn't read his book?

The ongoing watch-and-post rewatch of Buffy and Angel (once they're at that point) that I keep missing. grumble grumble

I think it was THE DARK AGES last night.

Heh, x-post, natch.

sumi, I wouldn't either, except don't you think Madison's claims fit with Logan's confession and Madison's appearance in the episode? I don't know -- it just seems unlikely to me that Madison would come to the suite looking for Dick Casablancas at this point. She's been over him for quite some time.

What doesn't quite fit is what happened in the previous episode. Last week, it seemed as if Logan had been in full mope-mode until Dick dragged him to the beach. Beach-girl was also pretty awful (remember, right after they finished up, she was going on about not being able to believe she hooked up with Aaron Echolls' son), so Logan could have been referring to her, in his confession to V, I guess.

I hope Logan was with Madison. If this is all just a misdirection to drive Veronica crazy, and the only girl Logan hooked up with is the girl from the beach, I'm less interested.

I thought the episode was good. I was just really shocked that they'd write Veronica as so impetuous that she would blackmail a judge for a petty case. I want Veronica Mars to be smarter than that.

I can't figure out the murder. I can't imagine the Lilith House girls have anything to do with it. I feel like we didn't really get a positive clue, this week, except for whatever that was about the Volvo vs. the mini-van.

I'm so over Logan and Veronica at this point. Unless LOGAN is tied up in the Dean's death, I'm not getting the point of all this romanticangst roundy round.

bribe

You keep saying that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Sorry, duh, I didn't mean bribe. Thanks Frank. Extort money from.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, I should say that the episode held up except for Veronica blackmailing the judge and Keith being stupid.

When Veronica blackmailed the judge I was hoping for the patented VM twist at the end and it didn't happen.

(Yes, last night was "The Dark Ages" - what a fun episode.)
