Oh, and I forgot..."Ed Argent" cracked me up. I wonder if they tried to get Ted Nugent, or if he's just to crazy to bother with.
According to the podcast, they did try. Heh.

Ack, I lost an "o" in my "to crazy." I hate when that happens. Dumb fingers.
See, I thought that Keith was intentionally clunky and obvious in the bar, to give Landry the impression that he (Keith) wouldn't be an investigative threat.
If that was the intent, it slipped by me when I watched, but I'm totally embracing it now, because I was embarrassed on Keith's behalf. I may have said things like, "Oh Keith, Veronica Mars is smarter than even you."
I think it would be out of character for Veronica to care about the integrity of the lab. Veronica has been consistently portrayed as an animal lover, and she's a marshmallow, in general.
Loved this ep, but really, it was hard to not keep thinking about the fact that PETA named Kristen Bell "World's Sexiest Vegetarian" last year. One imagines hilarity ensued on the set. Which cost extra.

Or in any case was just sizing him up -- he hadn't taken the case yet, after all. I'm pretty sure Keith wasn't trying to be sneaky. He just wanted to see which way Landry would jump.

Which may explain why PHAT came off a lot less of a shrill parody than the "Take back the night" crew. The fact that there was no x-over between the two groups was a pretty large contrivance to swallow, but of course Veronica would have been busted immediately if there was.

This is exactly what I was trying to say earlier, but is said by victor much better.

Er, really? I don't see why "Take Back the Night" and PHAT would be required to have any crossover at all. What do sexual assault and animal rights have to do with each other?
Well, it's a small school - the number of students willing to be an activist is small and liable to be involved in more than one sort of event.

And even if there were no membership x-over, I can't believe that a publicity-oriented group like PHAT would have missed some of the things that have been in the student and local papers concerning Veronica (the failed pot bust, the rapists being identified last episode, etc.).
That said, I liked the episode a lot. However, it was a contrivance I had to handwave instead of being able to fanwank.
The lab assistant guy? Where might I have seen him before?
He was on Night Stalker, last season (briefly, before it disappeared).
Plus, the LoVe angst is beginning to seem contrived.
Oh, my gosh, yesthis! I'm sorry, but I'm just not that interested in them anymore.
I know that actor who played Bronson (honestly, Bronson? That poor kid with his cruel, cruel parents) from somewhere but damned if I remember from where.
Wasn't he on Invasion? And I think I've seen him elsewhere as well.
Yes, he did a stint on Invasion, and IIRC, was also the gunman in one episode of Standoff this season.
Landry as murderer: Why would he copy Veronica's paper exactly, knowing that Veronica would undoubtably find out about the circumstances of the Dean's death, making it easy for her to point the finger at him since he read the paper?
Wasn't Landry in the habit of posting "A" papers? I know he did it at some point. So, if the paper was posted, and depending on where, ANYBODY, or at least anybody from the class, could have used it as a template. (Whoa, comma abuse).
I felt Keith was totally off his game in that entire scene. It nearly had me watching from the hall. I like the fanwank I'm reading, about Keith being clunky on purpose. I shall take it to my bosom.
Yes, this.
Who's to say he won't fall in love with the next monkey, too?
Yes, clearly SOMEONE should transfer out of BioChem and into, well, Botany.

Oh, I like this.
Epic! Thank you - he was the photographer.
he was the photographer
Yes. Now that my memory is flowing, I remember his character was called Jayne, and we all wondered if it was a shoutout.
