Veronica Mars: Annoy, Tiny Blonde One. Annoy Like the Wind.

The door thing is simple -- Mercer and or Moe swapped out the standard dorm lock in favor of one that you can lock(/unlock) on both sides with a key. So all that Moe had to do to lock V. in was take the key that stays in the inside lock out, lock it from the outside, and there she was.
I want Clemmons to replace the dean, and I don't care how contrived it is.
Yes, please!

This is me.
I don't like the idea of stand alone episodes. I would rather have the whole season arcs back with more stand alone subplots.
Good news from Rob:
Yeah. Big day for us.
Received congratulatory calls from Dawn Ostroff and Peter Roth.
More nights like that will bring us back for Season 4.
I asked him about the fact that they made a good promo and actually aired it:
Les Moonves actually called Dawn Ostroff yesterday and asked "why the upswing on Veronica?" She said, "Well, we did give it a bunch more promotion."
It couldn't've worked out better for us.
They promoted us. We went up.
Believe me, we're harassing them on this front.
That's so funny. And awesome.
My knee-jerk to the stand-alone season was "Nooooo!!" But that was my knee-jerk to the mini-mystery idea too, and I've come to really like it. Veronica is a detective, so I don't think the mysteries would be gone forever, but I think that maybe they might have longer mysteries that go over three or four episodes rather than defined mini-arcs. I think it's definitely a good idea to go stand-alone for the last four episodes, however, rather than attempt to squeeze a six-episode mystery into that smaller space.
he sounded pretty damn optimistic in that interview with a reporter formerly known as Wanda about a season 4.

If so, I do agree with that. They lost two episodes after the second arc was all plotted, and much of it filmed. There'd be too much squooshing in the third mystery.

Yeah, much more so than he sounded last week after the reduced order, when he said he was losing faith.

Yeah. I was actually hoping they'd do stand-alones for that. I don't particularly relish the prospect of a stand-alone season, but I also think we're freaking out both preemptively and unduly. Like I said, we reacted this way to the mini mysteries too, and the writers proved their mettle. And, honestly, I hope doing stand-alones would give them the opportunity for more out-of-the-box episodes, the sort of ones that stood out on Buffy. When you break the formula and break it WELL (e.g., this week's teaser), it's glorious.
Ah, how to put this? I was saying this to someone the other day. I love Logan, I love Keith, but I want one of the them to either (1) get killed or (2) go evil because of a gypsy curse. That would rule so hard I don't even know. Veronica needs that kind of motivation.
I also think it would be a waste to lose the long arc on this show. So few shows can carry it off; they really can here.

Who is "we"? I liked the mini-arc idea from the start. I thought last season got unnecessarily complex and confusing. But an all standalone season? Feh.
