Heh. I'm having a HUGE Lebowski flashback -- anyone else?
(Also? Shane Donovan!)

That's Patty Freakin' Hearst!
That's just perfect.
Wow. They were having some fun with the shoutouts in this episode. The Simpsons, Vacation, Patty Hearst. Heh. The Veronica and Keith Show was pretty damn cute tonight. (Almost -- *almost* -- too cute.)
I may be a schmoopy fool, but I am so very disappointed Veronica didn't pick up Logan's call at the end. Why is she pulling away from him? And what the hell is with the cheesy "Love [divided by] Piz" thing?
For one, Piz wasn't even in this episode (and Wallace was! yay!). Two, I'm really not getting that Veronica is interested in him one bit.
I didn't think I could possibly hate Dick more, but now I do.
And what the hell is with the cheesy "Love [divided by] Piz" thing?
my eyes almost rolled out of my head. they're really pushing this Piz crap, aren't they?
The Patty Hearst meta was a little much for me.
LOVED the Veronica and Keith show. Some weeks, it's all that keeps me watching.
Feminists faking most of the rapes --> I'm not EVEN going to start in on how angry I am that RT went that route. That's almost enough to get me to stop watching the show. That's some seriously weak-ass shit.
Though from the promo for next week, it looks like maybe not all of the rapes were faked, and that Bad Shit comes to a head.
And come on -- nobody else was amused by the Lebowski shout-out when Keith first went to Patty Hearst's husband, and the assistant was all overprotective and fawning and obsequious? That shit was FUNNY.
Poor woobie Logan.
I've never seen The Big Lebowski.
Yeah, I don't love the feminists making up any of the rapes, to tell the truth. What the frat boys did to Patrice and other girls is heinous, but faking rapes is a dangerous and stupid game to play in revenge.
for some reason i keep flashing back to all of the interviews KBell did over the summer spouting what a "bad boyfriend" Logan is/was. if that's what RT has been trying to portray last season and this season, he hasn't done a very good job in my eyes. especially this season. that isn't to say that he's an angel and he never does any wrong. i've seen a lot of comments from KBell and posters in my comm and various other places saying how they wouldn't want to date nor have any of their friends date Logan and to that i'm saying, "why".
yesyes, there were things in season one and even the crap over the summer before season 2, but what has he done lately to earn the title "bad boy you wouldn't let a loved one date"?
(bit of a tangent here. sorry.)
I've never seen The Big Lebowski.
me either.
tiggy, you're absolutely right. What I loved tonight was that he outright said he didn't care if he was right or fair, he simply loved her and wanted to protect her. Not from the world, not in a creepy way, but simply from physical harm.
What pisses me off is, yeah, it must have been disconcerting to have random big guy pick her up and carry her out of the room, hand over her mouth, but I didn't see her complaining when Logan came to her rescue at the Fitzpatrick's bar (or when Vinnie did). Or when Logan showed up on the roof the night Cassidy lost it.
I get that Veronica has legitimate trust and betrayal issues, and they've laid those out pretty clearly since day one. But this season, Logan has owned up to his need for a little space (not an unreasonable request) and has also apologized for his behavior. He came to dinner with her dad, he's been there for her -- I don't get her beef with him at this point. Especially when, a few episodes ago, she was the one shown wanting constant togetherness.
I thnk the writers need to get together on their characterization of her.
