Hated the new credits, so draggy and blah. I liked Piz but not as potential love interest (although I get why he instantly digs on Veronica, I mean, der!). He made me miss Undeclared.
I'm totally confused about the Cormac/Kendall thing as well. AND am confused about when it was decided Veronica would be going to Hearst.
But I loved Mac, loved Dick, loved Wallace as always, and loved Veronica. And her hottie professor.
Oh! And FRACK! hilarious
I'm with the consensus on the credits, and the totally confusing Fitzwhatever plot. A criminology department, though? @@
Life as We Know It! That's where I know him from!
I'm starting to remember professor too. Wasn't he the guidance counselor and not the principal on JoA?
The criminology professor doesn't seem to be in the IMDB credits. Huh.
Read back through the thread, and thought some more about the episode.
I thought Dick's "I messed up" was kind of meta. At least that's the way I read it. Yeah, he possibly said it because of something he'd done that night, but also that he'd fucked up with Cassidy, as well as his life in general.
I'm not buying Dick as a suspect for the rapes. I suppose he could have been hanging around the Hearst campus last year, but why? Also, Dick is lazy. He may be an opportunist when it comes to sex, but I kind of don't see him as even motivated enough to roofie all those girls, and then shave their heads. Why would he? (Unless, of course, Dick turns out to have uncharted depths -- or shallows -- the way Cassidy did.)
I'm also not buying Piz as a love interest for Veronica, at least not from her perspective. I can buy him falling hard for her, and maybe pursuing it past when he should get the "not interested" message, and thereby causing conflict, but them together? No. Just...no.
The more I thought about the Keith/Kendall/Cormac thing, the more confused I got. And then I got pissed off. I don't get it. I love Keith. But like Teppy said, that storyline needs to be over.
Reading back through the comments before the broadcast...who was the TA? Why was he wearing a wig?

Totally. Also agree that I don't see Dick being motivated enough, or frankly, smart enough.
Concur, with the "Waitaminnit, if it were Dick, he would have been caught by now." The shavey-rapist has forethought and planning, which Dick really really does not.
I don't think Piz is going to turn Veronica's head. I think he's going to pine for Veronica while Mac deals with the whole "my last boyfriend was a psycho!" stuff.
Also, I want to know what the deal is with his name being Piz. What is that short for??
I've decided it's short for Pizanski.
Don't know why.

Heeee. I think it's "sport," but I loved that scene as well.

It's short for Piznarski. He's named after the director of the pilot, Mark Piznarski.

The TA is played by James Jordan, who played Lucky. I knew they were bringing him back because Rob was so impressed with his acting skillz, so I immediately recognized all the hair as a disguise.
