Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Vonnie, either you are spoiled or you are REALLY good at this.

I wish I could take the credit, but Plei came up with the theory first; I just latched onto it like a limpet. And no, I was not spoiled at all. I kind of feel bad because I blabbed about this extensively on LJ, so some people on my Flist were all, "well, I've heard the theory from Vonnie, so the reveal didn't surprise me much." It was sort of like an inadvertent spoilage.

Marcellus Wallace's soul

I'm missing a link in the reference, I think. It's a Pulp Fiction thing, no?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yes. I believe approximately 63% of VM fans made the same connection.

Yeah, the Beaver-as-the-culprit speculation was rampant in VM fandom at large from what I hear.

Oh, no, I meant about Marcellus Wallace's soul. But you're right too.

I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve. - John Prine

The Great Whatzit (see fourth picture down, next to paragraph starting "So what makes Kiss Me Deadly..."). I prefer the Repo Man variant to the Pulp Fiction, but they all come from Kiss Me Deadly.

What is even happening?

Well, part of picking Beaver for me, had to do with knowing people (like Rob, and actors and stuff) were saying what a shock it was, and that you'd be surprised who was at fault. It had already looked like Aaron, Woody, Kendall, and the Fitzpatricks were at fault. I couldn't see it being Weevil. I couldn't see it being Logan. I knew something was up with Cassidy.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Lots of people picked Beaver from the beginning of the season. I guess I don't read enough in VM fandom to know the percentage. I remember Vonnie's posts for noting Beaver's motive in detail, the connection with Curly and the death of Aaron Echolls.

Wow. I never would have.
I remember Vonnie's posts for noting Beaver's motive in detail, the connection with Curly and the death of Aaron Echolls.
The post of Vonnie's that convinced me is when she said:
OK, I'm abandoning my "Beaver caused the bus crash" theory because Beav's being way too cute in this episode and there is no way RT is gonna do a 180 and go, "A-HA!" at Beaver in the next episode.
I'd felt exactly the same during the episode, mind you, but when I saw the rationalizing in black and white, I knew he was going to end up being guilty. I had no idea how guilty, though.

Beaver being guilty didn't surprise me. The whys and hows and how much he was guilty of? That did surprise me.

What is even happening?

Scott and I watched the pilot and Credit Where Credit's Due, last night. It got me to thinking. I've read enough interviews with Rob Thomas to know that Duncan was originally planned as the main love interest, and that he and V would be star-crossed. I've also read where Jason Dohring auditioned for the Duncan role, but played it too dark. I wonder what we'd be seeing now, if Dohring had been cast in the Duncan role--if/how Duncan would have been written differently, and if/how the story would have played out differently. I suspect most of the V/L 'shippers would be D/V 'shippers. What do you think?
