What is even happening?

Lots of people picked Beaver from the beginning of the season.
Wow. I never would have.
I remember Vonnie's posts for noting Beaver's motive in detail, the connection with Curly and the death of Aaron Echolls.
The post of Vonnie's that convinced me is when she said:
OK, I'm abandoning my "Beaver caused the bus crash" theory because Beav's being way too cute in this episode and there is no way RT is gonna do a 180 and go, "A-HA!" at Beaver in the next episode.
I'd felt exactly the same during the episode, mind you, but when I saw the rationalizing in black and white, I knew he was going to end up being guilty. I had no idea how guilty, though.

Beaver being guilty didn't surprise me. The whys and hows and how much he was guilty of? That did surprise me.

What is even happening?

Scott and I watched the pilot and Credit Where Credit's Due, last night. It got me to thinking. I've read enough interviews with Rob Thomas to know that Duncan was originally planned as the main love interest, and that he and V would be star-crossed. I've also read where Jason Dohring auditioned for the Duncan role, but played it too dark. I wonder what we'd be seeing now, if Dohring had been cast in the Duncan role--if/how Duncan would have been written differently, and if/how the story would have played out differently. I suspect most of the V/L 'shippers would be D/V 'shippers. What do you think?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Huh. It's just occurred to me that Lucky probably had Reiter's syndrome, which can be caused by untreated chlamydia in men and would explain the freaky foot bleaching. Huh.

If that was a clue we were supposed to get to connect Lucky and Veronica through Woody, and then eventually on to Beaver, it was a wee bit subtle.

Huh. I had never ever heard of that, Victor. So, are we supposed to believe that Lucky was also molested by Woody? Because in the end, he wasn't on the little league team, right?

Well, I thought his having been molested was a given. Just not at the same time as Cassidy.

He wasn't on Beaver's Little League team. We don't know if he was on any, but remember meara, he was batboy for the Sharks (Woody's MLB team). Like victor, I took it as a given that Lucky was molested by Woody.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I don't know wtf was up with the foot bleaching, but I too, thought Lucky was an older victim of Woody. Of course, I really only read transcripts for most of the season and watched the last four episodes because I could not wait for DVD's

meara - May 13, 2006 4:45:52 pm PDT #3217 of 5730

Oh, sure, I assume that he was molested, but I just wondered if we'd actually been given confirmation of that, other than the possible oblique foot-bleaching chlamydia thing.
