"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

You all will be glad to know that, although the CC on the first half hour of east-coast VM was 100% wonkeriffic, it returned to normal before the end of the hour.

But it was pretty funny, learning about refugee dolphins while Veronica was being menaced and shit.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Nutty, I got the debate over gay marriage in Massechusets.

What is even happening?

I saw your comments about that in Natter. I was going to ask quester if he (she? --oof I should know this one, I am ashamed of myself) is from Massachusetts, but the spelling of the state name in the last post gives me my answer. :)

Massachusetts needs a cool little spelling rhythm, you know, like Mississippi has, but I don't think I can come up with one.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

These days, I mostly only go to TwoP for its media thread. (Oh, and the thread about conversion stories. I friggin' love that one.) Anyway, it seems a few TV critics have had the chance to see the season premiere. From Akron Beacon Journal: [link] You need to bugmenot it to get an access to the article, so I'll just copy the relevant part here, what the hell. It's non-spoilery.

Loving Veronica: A copy of the season premiere of Veronica Mars (airing Sept. 28) has arrived, along with a letter asking "that you please not reveal the identity of who is behind the door, who is having an affair, who is dating whom (or not)... or the shocking ending.''

I took out even a reference to something I was asked not to reveal, since the reference might give away too much.

But I can say this: The season premiere is a complete mind-bender. I had it on while working in my office, and I'm going to have to watch it again to sort out everything that is going on.

But I was immensely enjoying the confusion. Rob Thomas, the brains behind Veronica, is obviously fearless -- and even more willing to play around with viewer expectations than he was last season. So let's all join the ride.

And that includes you O.C. die-hards. I have also seen the season premiere of that show, and it's horrible. Stop your unnecessary suffering. Come over to Veronica.

I have watched the whole thing again (I said on the blog later), this time with my full attention, and it is even more astounding than I thought on first look -- with the funny asides you expect from Veronica, a fully stuffed plot that feels as if it's the launching pad for two or three seasons instead of just one, and, well, that "shocking ending." If I had to grumble, it would be that Kristen Bell, Veronica herself, does not yet seem on her game. But there's plenty of game for her to get into later.

Uhm. Can it be September 28th right now? Please?

It worries me wee bit that KB didn't seem "on her game", because I've rarely seen her off her game in the entire first season. Hmm.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Maybe she was really tired and trying to get back into the VM groove after filming her movie thing. I do not know. But that is one rave review, there. I hope the episode is good. At this point, I feel like I'm acting like a fan out of habit, with the lack of show for so long. Because it's nice to feel this strong love for a television show again.

Strawberry disappointment.

Cindy? What are you doing in this thread?! Get out, Get Out, GET OUT! until you've watched S1. No spoilers for you. Hmpf.

Strawberry disappointment.

I think Denise offered to send you DVDs of season 1. You should PM her and catch up with all us popular kids.

I noticed my mistake. It's all so new this livejournal malarky, *shaky head* how you young uns keep up with this wizardry I'll never know.

On reflection the proceeding two paragraphs seem to be contradicting each other on the old/young front. I'll just leave them like that as evidence to my crazy mixed up youthness or sad decline into old age. You decide.

This ramble was brought to you by Boredom. The game you all can play at work.
