I did for a second. But then I realized Keith would never abandon his daughter at the airport over money.
But if it was LOTS of money, they could both just fly first class later in the day!
...
Okay, maybe I'm reaching because I was too stupid to get that they were setting up a big McGuffin for next season.

He seems to be supremely confident that they'll be renewed.
Wow. That answers a lot of questions.
Generally speaking, it's wise to do it in such a way that leaves a slam-dunk suspect, or makes it look like a suicide. And not to do it when a potential witness just left the room.
Nutty, I'm pretty sure Kendall wasn't there out of Aaron Echolls lust. It was her job. And this time, her employer was CW.
Also, correct me if I'm misremembering, but "the clap" is gonorrhea, not chlamydia, right? Keith called it the clap.
You're right. And I've seen the same mistake all over the net, the last week or two. When I rewatched that scene, it did seem possible to me that Keith was listing both the clap, as well as two instances of chlamydia. Whether it was a factual fault in the writing or a fault of sloppy delivery, it wasn't clear.
And AmyLiz says what I was going to. Duncan had Aaron killed because justice wasn't coming through any other channel. Weevil is in the exact same position. Justice for Felix's murder wasn't coming from the legal system, and apparently no one else (blood family or otherwise) was going to stand up for Felix, and Weevil loved him.
But that's exactly my point, Teppy. No further legal justice was possible, where Aaron/Lilly was concerned. That was not the case with Thumper/Felix, which is why Weevil had less of a right than Duncan did. Not "no right" just less of one.
The law could no longer avenge Lilly Kane. That's just not true where Felix's death was concerned. Where Felix was concerned, the law was disinclined to work up a sweat over it, but not only was legal justice still a possibility, Veronica was still on the case, AND Weevil knew that.

That is true. I wasn't paying attention.

Don't read if you want to be completely pure. It answers a couple of the "cliffhangers" from last night and talks about casting for next season.

Does the possibility of further legal justice figure in, in terms of being noir? (That's a real question, not snark.) I never got that sense.
That TV Guide interview was interesting. It sure does help us narrow down the guesses of what generally is in the briefcase.
I was thinking Kendall was offering Keith a case full iof money - enough money to send V to Stanford. It made me think that Kendall has been after cash all season not as an end in itself, but because she needed it to pursue some other goal. I'm intensely interested in finding out what she's up to.
I love Weevil's predicament - arrested for a murder he didn't exactly commit but that he isn't exactly innocent of, where defending himself with the truth could get him worse penalties than not. It's a nice problem that he's made for himself.
