You know, I've always liked Beaver too. But when he first came up as a suspect, it didn't feel wrong to me. Still doesn't. Yeah, he's got some really nice qualities. He can be cute, and dorky, and endearing, but you know - sociopathic genius killers are people too. And he's struck me as a tad bit off this entire season. Ever since the expression on his face as his dad ran off, way back when. It was... freaky.

Wow, what a season finale! I have been back and forth about whether or not I liked VM, but this episode blew me away. I was so upset thinking Keith might be dead, and I am already looking forward to figuring out what Kendall is up to next season. The actor who plays Cassidy was perfect. I also loved how they tied him back to the rape from last season because I always thought the handwave away of the rape last season was too cheap. This season finale really brought on the pain, which I thought last years failed to do.

Part of me wonders if it's Cliff's stolen briefcase.

The whole Beav-as-complete-sociopath thing is still freaking me out. I think I would've really preferred some of the scenarios people came up with here--him being not just fucked up, but completely fucking nutso, seemed a little out of the blue. Like, he hid that shit really damn well, for a damn long time, for being utterly psycho. Given all the hints, I wasn't surprised he did it, but the "completely psycho" part seemed...sudden.

Maybe knowing Veronica knew about the crash broke something in him -- he'd already failed with Mac sexually, so taking her clothes and humiliating her could have been a punishment.
