Amy, like Narrator said above, I think it's possible and/or likely that Woody molested Meg when she babysat for him.
Duncan probably was faithful, and got it from Meg, who had it from Woody, before she was ever with Duncan. I don't think I understand your objection, whether it's a red herring or not. Do you feel it lessens Veronica, in some way?
Unrelatedly, Gia Goodman has a MySpace page: [link]
That link does not work for me.
But Gia's line about MySpace was hilarious, and I am using it for her bio.

All this "got it from" talk is reminding me of Tom Lehrer's song, "I Got It from Agnes." [link]
P-C, there are myspace accounts for almost all the characters. I haven't even gone through them all, yet. I just posted the URLs of most of the major ones, in my lj. If that doesn't work for you, Google this:
myspace gia goodman
Rick Picket totally deserved that shout out.

Oh, I missed that.
But...I also feel like that's unlikely. If Woody has been molesting young boys for years, randomly molesting a teenage girl doesn't follow the pattern. Which I think is stronger when you consider how distant/disturbed the Goodmans' son is, but not Gia.
I don't think the chlamydia diminishes Veronica *at all* -- not her fault, nothing to be ashamed of (not that people aren't, when they learn they have one, because it still carries stigma), and it can happen to anyone.
I must be missing something, and I should go back and read all the theories, but I guess my point is, how are we supposed to find out if Meg was molested rather than simply sleeping with Duncan at this point? I know we saw Duncan in the preview, but we don't know in what context yet.
I guess my objection is to too many red herrings that make it difficult for people with very little brain space (like me) to keep track. Some are good, and useful; too many get in the way. By my count, next week we need to find out:
- who is responsible for the bus crash, and why
- who put the rat on the bus, if it's not the same person
- what the hell Kendall's master plan is, and how it relates to the Fitzgeralds
- who Woody molested, and when
- the real father of Meg's baby (?)
- who put the bomb under Woody's car
I'm sure there's more I'm probably forgetting.
Last season was easier, in a sense. Who killed Lily? Who raped Veronica? Where did Veronica's mom go and why? And yeah, mini-mysteries evolved from those (who was Veronica's true dad? what was wrong with Duncan?), but this season is overwhelming me.
Again, little brain space, easily crankified.
I just downloaded last night's ep and it's in Spanish!!! WTF?!?! Arghhhh
Why weren't the Kanes pouring their considerable fortune into ensuring that Aaron Echolls was prosecuted to within an inch of his life?

None of them work. Even going to www.myspace.com gives me an error message. Maybe it's blocked at work or something, but that's weird because nothing else I know of is blocked.
They all worked for me, P-C. Must be your network.

How do you pour private money into a public trial. It's the state of California trying Aaron, right? Plus, they've got their own legal troubles, for obstructing justice. Lilly was never important to them, in the way Duncan was, either.

Some molesters are equal opportunity. Woody may have molested teen agers, rather than little, little boys. We just know about the boys, although I agree with you that it seems unlikely he's bothered Gia.

MySpace gets a lot of bad publicity. There was just a story in yesterday's Boston Globe
[link] about how the state wants myspace to crack down on predators. It's an obvious one I'd block, if I were told to block stuff.
