BTW, I have a friend who had a dog named Liam and then later his grandson: Connor.
She does not watch any Jossverse shows so far as I know.

Cindy, i like your theory that the Oscar is the murder weapon and Lilly snagged it as well as the tapes when she left the Echolls poolhouse. it works for me. because really, how else can they explain her blood being present?
It's the only way I can get Lilly's blood on the Oscar. I'm assuming the murder took place at the Kane house, because...
If so, we have to get the Oscar to the Kane home. It works for me, as Aaron might even have noticed that the Oscar went missing, before he noticed the tapes went missing. We don't have to take last year's flashbacks as truth--just as the way in which Veronica pieced it all together.
Honestly? I can't figure out how they can i.d. Duncan's hair. Did he ever give any sort of DNA sample in the Lilly investigation, in season 1 or S1 flashbacks? All I can remember from season 1 is how determined his folks had been to cover his involvement, so I can't imagine they ever let such a thing happen, but I could just be forgetting.
Well, they can id Logan's hair and figure that the hair that isn't Logan's is Duncan's, right?
Then they see if it matches the blood on the Oscar.

I suppose it's possible that his mom gave some hair off a brush or suchlike to help the investigation when he took off with his baby.

But it's been X amount of time since Duncan left, so who is to say whose hair is in that shower? Were Logan to maintain he hasn't used that shower or prove it isn't his hair, then who is to say it isn't from a previous guest, rather than from Duncan? I mean if cleaning didn't remove Duncan's hair X amount of time, why would it remove an old guest's hair in Y amount of time?
I don't like it, mostly. Maybe Duncan gave blood for a paternity battle he then decided against waging, and they have matched the hair DNA to that. It still feels clunky.
eta...
Or what Calli said, but I still don't like how they did it.
I think Duncan had a private shower (master bath) off of his bedroom.
In which episode does Kendall meet Aaron? I missed that.
Episode 15, "The Quick and the Wed."
Of course, they have the various genetically-rich fluids of Duncan's full sister in a lab someplace. By a process of elimination, since the Kanes had only two children that we know of, the XY-gene hairs that share an awful lot of genetic markers with Lilly are gonna belong to Duncan.
Also, once upon a time, Duncan was at the scene when the crime went down. Although they might not have stood him up and said, "Genetic sample! Now!" they might have snagged a coffee cup or kleenex or towel he'd used, just on the off chance.
