My favorite part was the Cliff/Keith stuff.
Oh, heck yeah. They ruled.
(Also, while I found last week's episode kind of meh, the V/V interaction made me glad my twisted brain's not invested enough in the show to write fic.)
[NAFDA] Spoiler Policy: Seasons 1-3 and the movie are fair game. Spoiler font two weeks for new content presented all at once (e.g. Season 4 on Hulu is fair game as of Aug. 9, 2019). New content presented as weekly episodes may be discussed with no restrictions as it is released.

I imagine the hair-shaving rapist will be part of next year's arc.
I also worried that it would turn out to be George Michael.
I loved the Lamb/Cliff/Keith show too. ("She's 18! It's Legal!" -- perfect.)
BTW, the guy who played Norris in "Weapons of Class Destruction" was in Heist tonight.
I *adored* all the Cliff-related parts. Cliff and Keith should have as much time on screen as possible, because they are comedy gold. Also, shirtless Cliff handcuffed to the bed? I wouldn't have thought so, but mwrror!
Content-wise, this was filler-ish, but the dialog snapped and crackled, the pacing was excellent, and I liked the way they set up Veronica Mars: The College Years. I even liked the MotW not being solved, because I have faith (hey, no snickering!) that it will be revisited in an interesting way down the road.
I found Logan/Hannah unconvincing. I was hoping that she'd rip him a new one.
Best delivery of the night: Veronica's "Dad, your hooker's here." Kristen Bell is so awesome.
I've got thoughts.
PC, from your LJ: "Mac is dead". Wha?
I think that was a bait and switch.
It was a reference to the drama of yesterday morning. Someone posted a fake press release that VM had been cancelled, and everyone (including the VM writers) freaked out, but then someone figured out that anyone could post a press release to this site. In fact, she submitted this, which Rob declared his favorite writing sample of the year.
There was a neat... uhh..... parallel?... not sure what you'd call it, how at the beginning of the ep, Veronica says "If it were far away in Maine, I'd be excited, but it's in Neptune, so I'm not", and at the end, Hannah gets sent to Vermont.
What was the VM joke on Arrested Development?
George Michael asks Maeby to watch some DVDs of [link] with him.

Ah. Okay.

Which made me think of Hawkeye on M*A*S*H as they originally said he was from Vermont and then changed it to Maine as the series went on. But that's more about how my brain works than any intention by the VM writers.
