What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

P-C, where are you, darn it.

I was at work!

He's probably off watching Farscape.

I just watched "Nerve" last night OMG. I've been waiting all day to get home so I can watch "The Hidden Memory"!

And I pretty much agree with Couch Baron on the rape resolution.

OK, that "VM is not feminist" thing drove me batty. Partly because of the writing style, partly becuase I disagreed with their "facts"...I did NOT get from the resolution last year that Veronica wasn't raped. I just got that it was no longer something she could get "justice" for, but...

Thing is, technically, yes, Veronica was raped. She was in a state where she was unable to give consent (and god knows, freshman year of college they drilled THAT one into the guys, re: getting a girl drunk!). HOWEVER, I think that if she'd woken up the next morning and Duncan were still there, and was like "oh, fuck, we were really drunk"? She probably would've thought it was horribly unfortunate, and been pissed and so on, but not classified it as rape. Certainly wouldn't have gone to the police. Since she did think of it as rape, and kept thinking that for a year, well...even though she eventually found out what the story was, it's still fucked with her psyche (plus all the other shit that happened before/after, of course), and made her a fun, fucked-up character to watch on TV. Yay for that.

This is similar to how I find Logan hot and awesome and fascinating on my TV screen, but would hate him and run away in real life. I'm all for television sending good messages and not subtly enforcing racism or sexism, but...at the same time, TV is NOT REAL LIFE.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Neptunesite says no new episodes till January 18th.

Which would make sense since they've been a week after LOST on going to & coming back from hiatus this season.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

Remembering this was the ep where Veronica gets all tarted up, I told some of my football watching buddies to tune in after the Rose Bowl. Knowing them, this episode might get them to start watching. Or not. No matter that you can watch the very same stories rebroadcast at other times of the morning, afternoon or night, watching Sports Center at a specific time does become habit.
