Our wings are not tired.

Even if Meg's parents are sick enough to kill Meg and Duncan, I can't see them killing a bus full of innocents. That takes a special kind of evil. (hee, I wrote kink of evil the first try)

What is even happening?

Well, who are the possible suspects (at least for arranging, if not executing the crash)...

  • Logan Echolls (I'm sorry cutie, but I can't count you out)
Motive? He may well be completely crazy, and he was jilted. I don't think it is him, really. I certainly don't want it to be him, because you can't come back from that. I just can't rule it out.

  • Aaron Echolls
Motive? Again with the crazy, only now more concentrated crazy in every bite.

  • Celeste Kane
Motive? I'm not sure. I can't puzzle one out, as Lilly was seemingly less important to her than Duncan was. But my mind keeps telling me it is possible, and I don't even know why.

  • Boy that liked Marcos
Motive? Other than being rejected/jilted, I'm not sure. It's more a character issue, in that it's pretty sick to want to make the loved ones of your dead loved one suffer. Really.

...

The above people are all people I just couldn't count out, more than anything. The people listed below are the ones I consider more likely:

  • Whichever PCHer is working behind Weevil's back
Motive? Whatever. We don't have enough of this story, yet.

  • Some of the Fighting Fitzpatricks
Motive? They're meth-head lunatic criminals who are somehow trying to cut in on/harness the PCHers action/power/territory. Again, we don't have enough of this story, yet.

  • Meg's parents
Motive? This is TV. Religion is evil on TV.

  • Driver Ed's Wife
Motive? The affair. Husband was going to leave her. He was a school bus driver. She wasn't going to be getting all too much alimony/child support out of him. She wanted his life insurance. What she didn't count on was a letter from him that could be misinterpreted as a suicide note.

  • Driver Ed's Girlfriend's Husband
Motive? The affair. Still, I can't see a cuckholded husband taking out a bus full of students in the process. But we don't know anything about him.

  • Woody Goodman (Steve Gutenburg)
Motive? Political power, plus that little glimpse into their homelife in Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner was really sort of creepy.

...

What I don't think: I do not think that Curly Moran engineered the crash. I do not think Veronica was the target. I mostly don't think Veronica was the target, because Veronica has spent so much time feeling like the target. I think it's more likely that Curly Moran had information about the crash and was going to get it to Veronica. This makes it likely that a PCHer/Fighting Fitzpatrick was involved in the crash. I think that's weird though, because there's been a few comments this season that make me think the motive is personal. Mostly, I'm remembering one in particular from Keith, but I can't place the episode--about how crime is often personal--not some big conspiracy.

What was the name of Weevil's cousin who let their Abuela and then Weevil take the fall for the credit card fraud he (cousin) committed on the Echolls--the one who was messing around with Paris Hilton's Caitlin? I wonder if he's engineering Weevil's downfall with the PCHers, from the outside, possibly working in tandem with some disgruntled PCHer who is still on the inside.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Woody working WITH the Fitzpatricks AND the breakaway wing of Weevil's gang to engineer something to help the incorporation plan.

Oh, who am I kidding? I won't figure it out until Veronica fatally wounds Logan to stop the incorporation portal from opening.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The monks made Logan out of Veronica!

....or something like that.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The monks made Logan out of Veronica!

Thus bringing us back to last year's incest subplot.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm willing to bet Curly was responsible for the bus crash. I don't think it was meant to be fatal, hence the teary attempted candle-lighting at the memorial. (Or maybe it was and he was overcome with guilt after the fact.) The question is who put him up to it.

Our wings are not tired.

Going with Cindy’s list of usual and unusual suspects:

Logan – Noooooo! I got no good reason to count him out, but I don’t want it to be him.

Aaron – Crazy enough, and motivated, but I can’t see him being the big bad 2 years running.

Celeste – There is more we don’t know about her, but I don’t see her motive here.

Boy that liked Marcos – Yeah, he was pretty sick, but I’m thinking his rage was more specific.

PCHer working behind Weevil's back – Only in conjunction with someone more powerful.

Fighting Fitzpatricks – I think these guys are pretty bad ass and clearly involved in some big conspiratorial storyline. They are high on my list.

Meg’s parents – Nah. I can’t see them taking out innocents despite their creepy factor.

Driver Ed's Wife – I don’t think she was clever enough.

Driver Ed's Girlfriend's Husband – I don’t think he knew about the affair.

Woody Goodman – He certainly has a closet full of something.

Curly’s talents could have been involved, but didn’t expect or know that a bunch of kids were going to be killed. Perhaps he was a guilty man and his remorse got him killed.

Not sure about Veronica as a target. I have to think about it more. I may even need to watch the season to date to clarify the events in my mind. It might be seen as my obligation to study it further.

eta: xpost w/ Kalshane on the Curly thing because I type slowly when doing work in other windows.

Oh, who am I kidding? I won't figure it out until Veronica fatally wounds Logan to stop the incorporation portal from opening.

Nuh uh. Steve Guttenberg's going to ascend.

Hee. Love this about Aaron.

See, I was going to say something about Logan coming back as a ghost, but then I realized we already had Lilly, so that slot's filled (one hopes)

Yes! And that Boatloads of LoVe Fun group, too.

Oh, who am I kidding? I won't figure it out until Veronica fatally wounds Logan to stop the incorporation portal from opening.

snerk

Nuh uh. Steve Guttenberg's going to ascend.

Yeah, but first he has to get Neptune incorporated, so that he's an actual Mayor.
