I think the real turning point in their relationship, one that allowed Veronica to accept his plea for help to find his mother, occurred during the eavesdropped conversation from the consellor's office; Logan's genuine grief at Lilly's death, that his nastiness to Veronica was part displaced guilt (not that it excused his behavior), and the whole "what is so great about living?" bit. Well, that scene sort of sucker-punched *me* so maybe I'm projecting.
This is also very true. It's the hurt woobie stuff. Gets me every time.
Am I the only one who doesn't quite buy Logan and Veronica getting together?
what i didn't buy was the way they acted in M.A.D. it didn't work for me. i wanted to see angst with them working through the way they treated each other for a year and a half. of course, that could just be my masochistic side talking.
I didn't think it came out of nowhere though. i'm like Vonnie. i saw the sexual tension as early as the fourth ep. really...the pilot in hindsight. Logan was always watching Veronica and commenting about her. you know what they say..."thin line between love and hate".
Well, Veronica certainly had some angst over it, though it was mostly a line or two here and there. I also think the fact she kept poking and snooping and trying to find something wrong with Logan (even accusing him of the murder) was at least partially inspired by said angst (the other part being the whole trying to solve the murder thing.) But she seemed to cast a far more critical eye on Logan once they started "dating" than before.
You mean you're not on the LoVe train?
Now, you're just asking for a spankin'

Yeah, I agree they moved rather fast there, but I was willing to go ahead with it because the shiny happy bits served to accentuate the OMG the ANGST! moment at the end. I had more problems with the quick reconciliation in ATttD. Veronica running out on Logan time and time again? I totally buy it because the girl has huge trust issues, but no way she'd have forgiven him that fast for
GBH.
I didn't buy him being such a fabulous understanding boyfriend either. I expected a lot more rage and guilt and recrimination at the reveal.

LoVe LoVe LoVe. As portmanteaus go, it's no CoCo, but, you gotta love the craxy.
I love the Message Center, but it makes you forget that there are other threads hanging around the home page that you meant to subscribe to. IOW, yay VM thread!
I had some trouble with Veronica being willing to help Logan when he wanted her to find his mom
See now that's something I could see her doing without the poker game. She knows exactly what it's like to wonder what happened to your parent. On a much smaller scale, I used to hate my friend's girlfriend. She was terribly jealous of his time, couldn't stand me, etc. He moved pretty suddenly and it hit me and our other mutual friend pretty hard. I ran into her about 2 days later while I was still missing him and saw her sitting at the table all by herself looking blue, so I put in a few dollars to the jukebox and offered to let her help me pick Buffet songs to remember him.
All I'm saying is, Nothing like shared pain to bring people together.
just a heads up. UPN has the first three minutes of episode one up on their website. to say i'm squeeing would be an understatement. go. watch. discuss.
Let me guess - they give us the answer in the teaser?
nope. they manage to give us three minutes without answering a single question. aren't they infuriatingly nifty?
