what i didn't buy was the way they acted in M.A.D. it didn't work for me.

Yeah, I agree they moved rather fast there, but I was willing to go ahead with it because the shiny happy bits served to accentuate the OMG the ANGST! moment at the end. I had more problems with the quick reconciliation in ATttD. Veronica running out on Logan time and time again? I totally buy it because the girl has huge trust issues, but no way she'd have forgiven him that fast for GBH. I didn't buy him being such a fabulous understanding boyfriend either. I expected a lot more rage and guilt and recrimination at the reveal.

See now that's something I could see her doing without the poker game. She knows exactly what it's like to wonder what happened to your parent. On a much smaller scale, I used to hate my friend's girlfriend. She was terribly jealous of his time, couldn't stand me, etc. He moved pretty suddenly and it hit me and our other mutual friend pretty hard. I ran into her about 2 days later while I was still missing him and saw her sitting at the table all by herself looking blue, so I put in a few dollars to the jukebox and offered to let her help me pick Buffet songs to remember him.

All I'm saying is, Nothing like shared pain to bring people together.

Well they did narrow down the question some. We now pretty much know that (whitefonted for those who haven't seen the clip yet) Veronica is dating either Logan or Duncan so presumably one of them was at the door (and not some wild-ass guesses like Wallace, Weevil or deputy boy.) My sense is that it was Logan because the way that guy referred to her 09-er boyfriend made it sound like it was a new(ish) boyfriend and not a back together with old boyfriend.

why does her dating an 09er mean one of them was at the door? 3 months have passed. plenty of time to grovel to Logan and/or rejoice with Duncan that they aren't siblings. it still could have been anyone at the door.

I have the same thoughts about the boyfriend comment. if she were dating Duncan again, i would have thought he would saying something about dating the rich boy again. i think they're intentionally making it ambiguous though. so who knows?
