Ok-- I only RECOGNIZED 15 songs out of the top 100 for my year here:
I graduated the same year and I could hear 75 of them in my head as I read down the list. And I wish I could get rid of most of those.

Now, I know and have nostalgia for ALL of the songs on Cindy's List, from my eigth grade year.Hmmm. I'm unusually fond of a lot of the songs from when I was in eigth and ninth grade, too (80/81).
I believe that in 1989-90, I got fed up with all music because of MC Hammer and other annoying songs and started only listening to musicals. Which I did for several years until I discovered Joni Mitchell. You did have a pretty crap year for music Sophia, so I wouldn't feel too out of it, if I were you. Feel above it.
I did love My Preogative, though.
My experience is that it's the day after when the tetanus shot really gets you.
Yeah, the nurse warned me about that. I should show off my bandaids at chorus rehearsal tonight and get sympathy. Oh, which reminds me, I was going to evoke pity from my LJ friendslist and try to con fic out of them.
God, I love My Prerogative so much.
When I'm wearing my office headset, sometimes I do that song. And some of those dance moves.
Maybe I've shared too much.
The worst part is, I now have a fondness for much of it, and that fondness is based purely on nostalgia. Ugh. Make it stop.
But we have "Jungle Love," by The Time! And all those Tears for Fears songs! (Which now sound like one big medley in my head.)
Alright. That's it. I need to get out my iPod and put on the Good 80s playlist. It's starting me off with Boomtown Rats. Looks good so far.
And all those Tears for Fears songs!
Everybody Wants To Rule The World. One of my automatic happy-making songs.

Ah, crap. I've been putting off getting one, for no real reason, and my work is high risk enough that I really need it.

I used to hate that song. Not sure why. Violently, though. Then they rerecorded it as Everybody Wants To Run The World for LiveAid, and it was played ad nauseam while we were running the world, and lo -- I love it.
Seriously? I thought that it was John Malkovich.
Malkovich plays her lover. Laurie is her husband who she totally blows off. It's all very Liaisons Dangereuses but I really liked that particular video, so I remember it very well.
