The worst part is, I now have a fondness for much of it, and that fondness is based purely on nostalgia. Ugh. Make it stop.
But we have "Jungle Love," by The Time! And all those Tears for Fears songs! (Which now sound like one big medley in my head.)
Alright. That's it. I need to get out my iPod and put on the Good 80s playlist. It's starting me off with Boomtown Rats. Looks good so far.

Purple Rain
came out during the summer of '84, but maybe the song spent most of its on-the-charts time during '85). I have many, many fond memories of that song. However, I think you've defeated yourself with your own argument on the Tears for Fears songs.
We did have some good songs. But overall, I look at the list and roll my eyes to it. Sadly, I think I recognize them all.
Now I see House telling Annie, "Broken glass? I recommend razor blades: cleaner cuts, less annoying slivers."
