"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I always thought that her tendency to walk as if always contemplating a skyscraper was a result of all those years of dance -- like the woman I knew in college who would gesture with ballet hands, and wait for the bus in second position. I mean, some people are just that kind of pretentious-crazy, right?

Still and all, I do like Jennifer Garner with more meat on her bones, because they are exceptionally long, pointy bones. The rondure of her face appeals to me. (In general, I like anybody in Hollywood to put on a few extra pounds about the face, or else I have never seen any Hollywoodian who looked bad pregnant/recently pregnant.)

Silence means security silence means approval

BREAKING NEWS New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin suspends return of evacuees to the city, citing the threat from strengthening Tropical Storm Rita.

This is not allowed to happen. I will pull a Superman and rotate the fucking planet backwards if I have to.

It's an overreaction, honestly. Here's the current five-day: [link]

In order for it to hit NOLA, it would have to start swinging north in the next 24 hours, and with the highs and lows set up the way they are, that doesn't look all that likely.

The track yesterday was to go ashore at Corpus. This morning, Galveston. Looks like Victoria now.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

and wait for the bus in second position.

In second? I always thought second position was the dorkiest.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I always thought that her tendency to walk as if always contemplating a skyscraper was a result of all those years of dance

I can't think of any other ballet dancers with a sway that severe, both in motion or repose.

I've never thought of her as pointy -- she's got long but blunt features to me.

Heidi Klum pregnant. I swear I saw a picture of her at the Emmys that was ... well, not with much roundure, considering she's a few days post partum.

Our wings are not tired.

Nagin has to err on the side of caution because he's already under a great deal of heat for letting anybody back in the city. He's in a tough spot with wanting to let people get on with the fixin' and having to fight the system.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

A few DAYS post partum and she went to the Emmys?!? Dayum. I still had a baby glued to my boob when I was a few days post partum.

Emmys. She gave birth while I was in Kenya, IIRC. But that picture isn't the one I'm thinking of.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I was going to ask if anyone had seen a Klum shot.

She has swayback? That picture is not flattering at all. Is there a cure for swayback?

Nope! You can do PT to make it less lamely obvious. And people will insist that it's a posture issue.

Hmm. Yep. Residual issues from ballet teacher making fun of me still intact.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

people will insist that it's a posture issue.

Guilty. That's why I asked. What kind of physical therapy?
