Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

sitting in the fiction corner with Jesse.

paid too much for just an ok lunch. BAH!

The DVR will get screwed up by unprogramed stuff. You have to go and double check what the DVR listings say.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had nice taramasalata with pita and carrots for lunch.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Also, I hadn't heard that Laura Bush didn't know the name of Hurricane Katrina a week after it hit New Orleans. Clearly they need to upgrade her chip to Stepford XP.

She kept calling it "Corina". I'm sure it's easy to confuse a class 4 hurricane with a Whoopie Goldberg movie.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Well, it probably reflects which one Laura would most dread a visit from.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Aargh!

My boss (who works in another state) emailed me yesterday to fax him a particular contract.

The Secretary who is in charge of filing contracts is all "I don't know where a contract would be, you'll have to ask my boss".

I ask her boss, he tells me to ask the accountant.

The accountant left early.

I ask the accountant today.

She tells me to ask the secretary in charge of filing the contracts.

Who tells me to ask her boss......

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Pssst! Sophia's stuck in an Asterix movie, pass it on....

Ann, that's a ferret.

mearaing the lunchtime posts:

Interrupting is fine, really.

This is what I do. And telemarketers rarely do the ask-3-times thing with me.

"If anything went wrong, I take responsibility for it." This is the kind of taking responsibility that's not.

And yet, it's the best apology/responsibility-taking from anyone connected with the White House since the current administration moved in.

they didn't explain how there'd be people who weren't related to you out there in the world. But there are, and some of them might shoot you if you talk to them like I'm talking to you right now.

If someone had said this to my mother when she was a child -- or even in early middle age -- she and I might be on speaking terms today.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

When we were done I asked the rep. if I could tell someone how helpful she was. Now this is tht second time I've done this in about a year and I swear both times the people sounded like they were gonna cry. Customer Service people almost never get props, so if you have a good experience, take another minute and let their supervisor know.
I've done this (with Verizon reps actually) twice.

But then I noticed that Verizon, both on the phone and actually in a store, have markedly improved their customer service now that mobile numbers can be ported to another provider. Still, very good customer service should be acknowledged. In the hopes that it is viral and will infect others.

I am billing clients and my boss must be channeling Reagan. I swear there is voodoo economics involved.

I finally am understanding how she estimates but I will never understand how she bills. Nor how I can do the same billing and get similar numbers but in drastically different ways.

most wireless providers have. they finally realized that the #1 reason that people stayed with their provider is because they didn't want to lose their number. Now that's not an issue, they've straightened up.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

New York City is in the midst of a cupcake war.
