What is even happening?

At three months? Good luck to her. I like your POV though, Jesse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's not even that she thinks it's necessarily Going Somewhere at that point, she just likes to Talk. So she needs a Talker, I figure.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Hell, billytea was coordinating retirement plans on his third date with AS.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is SUPER TRUE. Even if not losers, people not for you. I have a friend who always wants to have a big "where is this going" Talk at like three months, and I've always figured, when she finds the ONE GUY ON EARTH who isn't scared right off by that, he'll be the one for her.

Although I might not have an answer involving picket fences by then, I have been known not to be scared off by this after three dates, let alone months.

Ok, there's an interesting x-post.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How far is the "where is this going?" talk from the "am I your girlfriend?" talk? What are the other talks? Do you just sneakily leave a toothbrush at his place? Use his? Have stank breath?

It's so complicated. My lack of understanding the protocol makes me very low maintenance. Sometimes unattractively so, I think.

My mom's next door neighbor just had a little girl. Early, 33.5 weeks, and she's 4.2 lbs and doing quite well. Mom and dad have sort of been her support system since her husband is a security contractor on the road a lot (until now.) I'm quite happy for them. Finding good where I can.

This child was much hoped for and much thought unlikely.

Always Anti-fascist!

Tom, I'd like a guy to want to call me. Not that this is a come-on...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

My Beau had a "we need to have an exclusive relationship" talk with me on our 2nd date. Granted, we met through the internet and talked on the phone for 6 weeks before we met in person, so maybe this is unusual.

Right! The "is there anyone else?" discussion, which isn't necessarily the "am I your girlfriend?" discussion, though they can be combined.

Thank you! You'd think I'd grown an extra head, the way she reacted just because I handed out a formatted agenda.
