I think we were talking about whether it's possible that he would be sent to the same facility as his brother and one he himself designed, and the answer is, they have no real systems to cross-reference that kind of thing. From the show we learn that he and his brother have different last names, and that he "ghostwrote" the blueprints so there's no record of him or his company being involved. Also, he specifically requested a facility close to his home, and since there's only one "Level One" prison that fit that bill and there was no good reason for the judge not to grant that request, the chances he'd go to that prison were excellent.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
And each game I've played has gone to the wire - it's never clear who is going to win. Takes a long time to play, though. And I keep itching to paint the pieces.
Yeah, I'm thinking I may paint just the bases, to make the set-up easier. Incidentally, I took it out tonight to check it out; first comment: "Heffalumps! Ooh, evil heffalumps."
Gloom and Haunted House are the latest acquistions (by my DH the non-goth), and they are both cute. Gloom's hook is transparent plastic cards, so you can stack them and see through the stack. Also, Gorey-esque art.
I like the look of Gloom. It's not first on my priority list, though. That would be an Australian version of Trivial Pursuit. Not in the next few weeks, though. Bit of a cash flow issue.
Theodosia, was that the one called "Born Without a Face" on Discovery Health? I saw a few minutes of it, but quit watching when they showed the shot of the girl as a newborn because I knew it would upset me too much. Good to hear it has a relatively happy ending, if it's the program I'm thinking of.
From the previews, I think I can guess how Prison Break will end without seeing minute one.
This is actually the same reason why I skipped (and later caught up on) the first season of 24. But they managed to make the journey unpredicatable and exciting. So I figured I'd give PB a try too. So far, eh.
I turned it on now and then. Was in a flaky mood, not really watching anything.
I dreamed I poured out the whole container of cream. Before I made the coffee. I think that counts as a nightmare?
My neighbor is of the generation and culture, I guess, that everyone adult is called Miss or Miz Firstname or Mister Firstname. Her greatgrandkids call me Miss Sara. Funny thing is, she's got all our neighbors doing it.

See, just the *name* of the program was enough to keep me from watching it.
The reality-meter on the Prison Break show is pretty low. For example,
How about giving yourself a margin for error? Generally speaking, federal death sentences take years to carry out, even when people drop their appeals (as Timothy McVeigh did). Don't procrastinate till the last minute!
Generally speaking, death row inmates are not allowed to mix with ordinary inmates. They're in separate housing, on different routines, and would never be allowed to spend time with their armed-robbing brethren. Because, hello! Death row inmates have a lot less to lose, and might do something untoward like commit suicide and obviate the right of the state to kill him..
AmyLiz is right on the diabetes front, and if it's Type 1, then he should have medical records going back to his childhood or teens. Because, how do you get insulin without going to a doctor/clinic? You don't. And how do diabetics do without insulin? They get gangrene in their feet and go blind from poor circulation. Considering they did all that research to verify that a man on an insulin overdose will see his hands shake, they could have done a tiny bit more research, you know?
Not terribly impressed. Also, when you go to prison, take a few days and watch an Oz marathon, you know? Or read The Shawshank Redemption or something.
Prison Break:
Agree with everyone about the diabetes thing, which drove me nuts. And you know... I bet there are type I diabetics in prison in real life and it wouldn't have been difficult to research how the facilities take care of the illness. I like the actors reasonably well, and Wentworth Miller is hella pretty, so I'll probably keep watching. But there was a lot of suspension of disbelief going on.
Amyliz - That diabetes thing bothered me too. There is just no way there wouldn't be medical records about something like that.
Cindy, I missed a lot of the first 45 minutes, too, due to putting the baby to bed. And while I sorta kinda enjoyed the rest, once I got up this morning I was so irritated by the inconsistencies and huge plot logic holes, that I couldn't give you a fair summary (based on asking DH questions) even if you were offering cake.
So glad everyone else agrees with me on the diabetes issue. Such a simple thing to research, their hand-waviness about the whole thing irritates me.
I don't remember what I dreamed last night. But I know I dreamed about running out of FedEx envelopes the night before. And I don't work in an office anymore.
