Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Er, um, script kiddies? Huh?

Not that I'm not usually foggy at this time of the morning anyway.

move out and draw fire

Timelies. Guests have been turned out to visit the Acropolis and Ancient Agora. The visit, she is not going so well. It turns out that the GF had dumped our friend and he'd offered to bring her here in a desperate attempt to salvage the relationship. A relationship that was failing on familiar turf is not going to get any more solid while touristing.

Shame, really, because the GF turns out to be smart and cool (she has a Masters in Library Science so she'd fit in here), and told a joke that's provided me with my Halloween costume. It involves a beard and turban, worn over a glittery leotard and accessorized with an AK-47 and ice skates: Oksana bin Laden.

Swouncing

Poking head to post that, unless I'm very much mistaken (and I'm still in summer-class TAing mess, so I may very well be all wrong again and unable to count), today is the second birthday of Casper a.k.a. Eve, flea's daughter. Happy birthday and lots of wishes for a great year!

And I'm off to grade. Again.

[Edit: OK, spelling "wrong again" wrongly should have some ironic significance or something, that had I been able to spell, I should have realized. Lacking that, however, I'll be thankful that I'm grading only in numbers.]

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Happy Birthday, Casper!!!

Oh dear. I hear that Katrina has been upgraded to Cat 5.

I hope it swerves and hits Crawford.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I hope it swerves and hits Crawford.

Sadly, they'd evacuate the Shrub and leave all the poor folks stuck there. I think if Mother Nature wants to take him out a rattle snake on his bike trail might be a better option.

And while I'm channelling Pat Robertson, why not take out this asswipe?

Trust my rage

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Have you heard the Arrogant Worms' song, The War Of 1812?

I don't think so.

The National Weather Service guy being interviewed on NPR just said "potentially catastrophic." I take that kind of phrasing much more seriousy from them than from the Weather Channel. Yeesh.
